great game, I feel like I got RSI hahaha. The timer got me so frantic which forced me to make mistakes over and over, but the sound track was egging me on
Jajajajajjajaja thank you very much :D
Amazing little game, I love the true 8 bit style and the bitcrushed SFX!
Thanks :)
Love the wall movement and dash!! The artwork fit well together! I think that there is some delay when jumping? Maybe would be better without the delay. But Other than that Nice job!!!
Oh, that's maybe because the jump animation has one frame where the character crouches before jumping. There is no delay in the force, but the aanimation maakes it look like so. Thanks for the feedback :)
This game is pretty impressive! It also reminds me a bit of my game for this jam in a few ways. I like the movement, it's snappy but works. However, I found myself accidentally detaching from wall slides a few times. Was this inspired by Undertale at all? I can't help but be reminded of it with the art style and that 1 Earthbound instrument that it very well known for it's use in Megalovania. I do like how this game is strong in every feild, as many games I played (and my own game) were great in some areas and had nothing in some others. Great game, great job!
Thank you for your words, they mean a lot!
The artstyle was inspired in Undertale yeah, and most noticably the music, which uses the instrument you said jajajaja. In fact, all the instruments in the OST come from Undertale!
The game feel is so awesome! and the OST just got my heart pumping I kept failing because I couldn't be patient due to the soundtrack haha, the audio is great and the visuals are minimal and fitting, wonder how my score compares to others!![]()
Thank you! I'm thinking of releasing the OST so I'll tell you if that happens :)
Game looks, plays, and sounds incredible. Would love to see more from this! Solid/satisfying platformer.
Thanks!! I'm planning on making full version of this 👀
HOLY MOLY! When's the OST releasing? You made some sick music (from the megalovania soundfont?). You can also really schmove in this game, it feels super satisfying getting through the different parts of the level. All in all, good job!
Jajajaja thank you very much!!! Reading this made me very hapy :D
Do you think I should release the song? I didn't think about it :)
Yes! For sure! It sounds amazing!
Really amazing platformer I loved the movements and the absolute banger music! I beat it on the second try and ended up beating it with only 2 seconds left, so it got really intense in the last part. Overall amazing and really fun to beat and play, great job making it!
Ooooh only 2 seconds left! Thank you for playing and for your words :DDD
Holy challenge! I failed so many times, I wanted to rage quit, but finally I did it. my fingers hurt but it was worth it. one of the best games in this jam, good job!
Thank you! I'll try your game too :)
each room is just the right difficulty, i like the movement, i think it could use some/more coyote time and a bit slower overall movement / maybe a smoother camera movement, sometimes everything is going a bit too fast for me, but it just might be me :)
Thanks! The game already has a lot of coyote jajaj, anyways, thank you for the feedback :)
Very snappy and quick movement, was a lot of fun. made me feel like a speedrunner.
Also, we used the same name haha
True! jajajajaja thanks for the comment :)
Super clean platforming movement, I instantly felt at home with the controls (probably from playing Hollow Knight)! Beat the game on my first try, but the difficulty was appropriate in my opinion. Music is banging, too, seriously good job on that (is that the Megalovania soundfont I hear?)
Thank you very much!! Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games ever and I was definetely inspired by it! And yeah, that's Megalovania soundfont haha, in fact, every instrument on the songs are from Undertale :)
Well made platformer game! Nice art and sound design
Thanks :)
Nice game, levels reminded me of celeste, which might be good for you but not for me because I suck at celeste too lol. I couldn't get it too far unfortunately, so I don't know if up arrow had any action associated with it, if not then I would have loved to jump with up arrow as well. Plus for tutorial wall jumps, I felt spacing was little far than I would have liked, because I kept falling down. maybe that is my skill issue, but just saying.
I would like to get good at celeste too lol.
Thank you! Celeste was a big inspiration for this game and I'm glad you could notice! Maybe jumping with up arrow would've been nice too haha, thanks for the feedback :)
the title screen song sounded like megalovana form undertale
Yeah haha, the song uses the same melody as the one in the main game and it's very similar to the one in undertale. In fact, I then use the same instrument as Toby Fox did for Megalovania!
Such a beautiful game, the controls felt smooth and so fun! (reminded me a little of hollow knight)
The art is very good looking and the overall platform/"level" design felt perfect, not too punishing while still being engaging, awesome work! :)
Thank you very much! I'm very glad you liked it!
Thank you for making this! It was super fun :]
Damn, the art and sound are amazing! I’m really bad at this though XD
Thankss!! :)
I liked this a lot! Reminds me of white palace from Hollow Knight with the spinning blades :D The artstyle is really clean, and the countdown definitely gave it the pressure that made it feel tense and exciting!
Thanks!! The White Palace and Path of Pain were a big inspiration for the game :)
Very cute idea, i enjoyed it (despite the difficulty) very much.
Thank you!
My favourite game I've played to far, artwork and audio are really well done, and I will definitely be coming back to play this game again. Gravity felt slightly heavy but I think it added to the difficulty so it was okay. Well done.
Thank you very much!! It means a lot :)
