First game jam and you did very solid game!! Love the artstyle!!

Fun game, reminds me of Ambidextro. Great working on the game! The music was pretty catchy as well.

What a fun game, especially for a  first game jam !! The artstyle is cute and the music is pretty nice to listen to, I like it :D

Congratulations on your first GMTK Jam!

Also, the game is really fun, even though I was barely able to keep up. xD

Just one little thing: dragging the yellow character was a bit difficult, as it was not very responsive and would constantly keep resetting as I was dragging it.

But a really well-made and fun game for one of your first jams!

Best of luck!

Great work for one of your first game jams.

Bruh I am too smooth brain for this!
But heaps of fun nonetheless.
Congrats on your first GTMK and incredible work to have made two games and all the assets and I loved the music!
Keep going strong!!

Game designed to filter me because I cannot multitask apparently

I really enjoyed this! Seems like you made the perfect choice here with what little time you apparently gave yourself for this. Instead of going with some complicated idea and half-baking it, you chose something fun but simple, made it with a charming but easy-to-make artstyle, and just went all in on the vibe that that created, music and all. And I genuinely had fun with this! Like, even more so than with some of the entries here that clearly took a lot more time. It was clear that since the art elements were quick to make, you were able to pump out quite a lot of levels, which made it feel constantly fresh. I think there may actually be room for this one to grow, if you felt like devoting some time to it. All around nice job!

im glad you liked it!

Interesting idea, but I never multitasked. I finished one screen then did the other one and was still in time.

Really fun game! It's a bit difficult but in a good way. It absolutely feels like you have to lock in and try to split your brain in half lol. The art style and music complemented the theme and style of the game very well. Great work!

Developer

thank you!

I loved your split-screen system. The tension of choosing which side to complete first is really interesting. I guess the mouse controller got janky after uploading. Also great minimal art!

Developer

yeah im not sure what happened to the mouse when i uploaded it. glad you enjoyed it nonetheless!

I love your interpretation of the theme to balance the countdown of two timers! I also love that the two games are two different genres rather than 2 platformers. I had fun! Though I do feel the platformer's hitboxes were a bit janky.

Very interesting idea! I like the doodle art and the music, they complement the game well. I think the click and drag game is a bit janky, if I move too fast it drops the character, it might have been better to leave the click and drag out of the equation and focus on just following the mouse. I'd end up moving my mouse to the end before I realized I dropped the guy cause I was busy platforming haha.

Developer

its weird, the click and drag worked fine in unity but when i put it on itch it started dropping it. if i had the time to fix it i would have

The doodle art style complemented with the funky music fits really well. The concept is very creative, but for me it was slightly annoying and too hard, but it could just be my skill issue. Also the platforming was a little janky (I don't know if this is intended, but why when I press space, I have to hold down W as well to jump?). Otherwise, great submission for being made in such a short time.

Developer (1 edit)

yeah, if i had more time i would have probably made the platformer part a bit smoother, and as far as the jumping, i dont think space was a keybind i set for jump (idk why, i did most of the code for this at like 4 am)

Nice style, reminds me of doodle jump (I also was inspired by an old game). It was a bit to difficult for me, but maybe im just bad at the game lol. Good job nevertheless!
