Very fun! I love the visuals and the splash art, The gameplay is clear and entertaining. It's a bit unforgiving, I'd like to be able to kill more enemies during nighttime, maybe more human types or humas that keep attacking you during night.
Overall very well done, and very fun.
Oh and I love that the shadows change location as the day passes.

Love the gothic theme, and the back-and-forth flow is great! The reversal of power every time day and night switch gives the game really strong pacing. It was really satisfying when the sun finally set and I could turn the tables on all those villagers >:) Also, some really great piano work in that music!

I do think you could maybe tighten up the combat a bit. The character moves pretty slow by default, which wouldn’t be an issue if I could dash more than every 8 seconds or whatever the time was. As is it felt like I was moving through molasses, unable to catch up to villagers runnign away from me or get into the shade quickly during the day. I think reducing that cooldown, and maybe upping the movement speed a bit, would help the game-feel a lot, and bring in that frenetic slasher feel I think you were going for.

With some tighter movement, though, this would be an even more satisfying fighter! Some randomly spawning items or something might help mix it up in a post-jam? Just an idea!

really interesting game! the art style is super cute and i love the constant flip between ‘haha i am a powerful monster’ and ‘run run run RUN’

Wow! Really impressive work! Fast and fun especially when you kill all that crowd that follows you

hey this was a lot of fun! I loved the switch from being a bloodthirsty massacring monster at night to being a helpless vampire in the sun. Nice art too

our game had a really similar countdown mechanic, i would love to hear what you think if you get the chance!

Really fun to play! Love how everything turns around in different phases. I won the game with 2 hp left. Wish there could be some hiding spot during the day for example a casket or smth.

Edit: I forgot to mention the geniusness of the title.

Very cool mechanic where you're either the hunter or the hunted. The best part is when they all group together into a huge pack while chasing you and then night fall that's when you can wipe them all out!

Looks Nice loop, the movement could be a bit faster, although a solid game

I really liked the little vampire guy.

Really great game ! You came up with a fun and creative idea, and it’s clear a lot of effort went into making it. The gameplay feels satisfying, and I had a great time from start to finish. Awesome work, and best of luck in the jam!

If you have a moment, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out our game as well, give it a rating, and share any feedback you have. We’d love to hear what you think! 😊 /jam/gmtk-jam-2026/rate/4813276

All the sfx really fit well to the game and the music is such a vibe. Simple combat that is satisfying and the night and day cycle provide nice contrast to the gameplay. Also love running in the day to group them up and slash them the moment night comes. Cool game

Fun game!

The last wave is kinda easy since the one just before spawns so many villagers that you get to fully refill! Had so much fun playing it :)

Really enjoyed the music!

Quite an impressive submission, mby the best I played so far.

Good job!

I like the overall game loop on this one, there's some strategy to getting all the villagers in one spot during the day and then wiping them out at night.

one thing I would change is balancing out the timers, like I found the dash isn't worth doing most of the time because it sets back your kill timer so much.

that's my only nitpick, overall creative idea and well executed.

Fun gameplay and a very well-executed cover image. The music is a masterpiece!
I wish the movement was a bit faster, though; it feels like there's a heavy weight on your shoulders and you have to press the buttons as hard as you can just to move.
Now I see why people were talking about vampire games for this theme :D
