What an incredibly elegant puzzler. I love the designs of the little tiles (very reminsicent of Azul, which I love), and how simple but deep the gameplay is. Looking forward to seeing more levels built and perhaps more ways for the player to arrive at the solution.
Thank you! We definitely plan to expand on the levels after the jam!
Very clean game, love the table top sokoban feel. The countdown feels more adjacent than part of the core, turns left feel like a separate thing from the functionality of a countdown.
Still I enjoyed the game plenty!
Yeah, something we realized when developing the game was that getting down to one tile was way too easy, and we needed more restrictions on the player. Due to the time constraint, we made the decision to go with a move counter since it is easy to implement, but it may have been more interesting if we made different tile types that blocked you, or prevented a tile from moving backwards, etc. In the future we might go back and revisit those ideas instead of a move counter to connect it more to the core of the game! Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)
need to zoomed in abit so i dont kee misclicking the tiles~~~ nice ecstatics overall
Thank you for playing! Yeah the camera does start a little far zoomed out, we can fix that in the future!
Very cleanly executed, good art and sounds, smooth scene transitions
Thank you for playing!
I liked the feeling of putting the tiles, especially the sound effects. Also liked the background music and the colors in your game!
Thank you so much!
clever concept, but i wish more of it was explained in game. i still don't understand the exact rules of which tiles can be placed where and when
After the jam we plan to make the tutorial in the game more digestible as well as add more levels to make the difficulty curve less steep. Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it!
Wow! Very clean and polished game. One feedback is, after breaking a tile, it doesnt get unselected, so i accidentally placed the previous tile on top of another while trying to select the other tile.
Thank you for playing! We definitely want to revisit the movement after the game jam as a bunch of other people were having the same issue!
Okay this game had no right to be this satisfying. Actually really nice, though it was slightly confusing to me but that’s a me issue. Amazing sound design.
I wouldn't call it a you issue haha, with more time we could have added a bit lower of a difficulty curve with some hints given throughout the game to make it a little easier to understand. Thank you so much for playing though!
Its a very well polished game! Amazing art, sound and UI design! Hope to achieve something like this for my games.
I believe in you! This is the 4th GMTK game jam we have done, so we've had a bit of practice. For this game we really tried to focus on polish with sound effects and animation because we had never really done it before. A little bit can definitely go a long way when trying to give feedback to the player.
Beautiful and well done game!
Thank you! :)
Wow!!! This is amazing. I loved how it combines the counting down element along with the puzzle elements. Great game!!
Thank you so much for playing!
Amazing game
Thank you so much!
Super clean and polished! The rules were self explanatory and I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles although I got stuck in the later half.. The music is a really nice too!
Thank you! The levels definitely get a little hard...I forgot the solution to level 6 after the and had to figure it out again with my brother haha. In the future we want to work on the difficulty curve by adding more levels in-between the harder ones.
What a fun idea, I love the art of the tiles. Got stuck after a while, it really becomes hard. Probably a hint system would be great here.
After the jam we definitely want to add some more levels to lessen the difficulty curve with possibly some hints throughout when a new mechanic is introduced. Thank you so much for playing!
Amazing game, great idea. Level 6 was the most difficult imo, most paths I found left one greenware tile. Sound design is great, but tile selection and movement are too close to one another, I often moved a tile when I wanted to select one. It would also have been nice if there was a hotkey for restarting like pressing 'R', or an undo function, if you accidentally move a tile in a way you didn't want.
I had a lot of fun
Hotkeys are a nice suggesting, we can definitely add some after the jam! As for the movement, I think we want to change it to a dragging system after the jam as a lot of people also gave that feedback. Thank you for playing and commenting!
It is funny, but camera and controls are annoying. Often ended up clicking move instead of selecting a tile. And there is no "undo last turn" button, so by doing that I was forced to play whole level again.
I guess drag controls will work better for this gameplay.
Yes, I definitely agree that drag controls would work better. If we had a little more time during the jam we would have revisited the movement to make it better. Really great feedback, and we plan to address it after the jam. Thank you for playing!
love the sound effects, and the idea is amazing!
Thank you for playing!
This reminded me of Azul a bit, and I quite enjoyed playing a game with such a lovely, almost tactile feel (props for the visual feedback and sfx). Solid art direction and clean execution. All in all, this was a very fun game to play, very well done!
I love to play Azul haha, thank you so much!
This game has a very refined minimalistic look and feel, thanks to the fitting visuals and sound design. I found it easier to learn how to play by simply playing, and that's fine with me, although generally that might not be everyone's cup of tea. And gotta love the cultural homage... all in all, good stuff!
Thank you! In the future when we add in some more levels, we will make the learning curve a little more gradual with simple hints that appear when a new mechanic is introduced.
I had a skill issue with this game but the gameplay is really creative despite this. The best part is the creative direction with beautiful tiles and music. The SFX were really great and suiting. Everything was so polished in menus and the game. My only issue was the void you play in, would be lovely with a floor tile grid underneath and some Puerto Rican scenery around. Great job though! :)
Yes! Puerto Rican scenery would definitely be a great addition. This game was our first time using Blender, so when we have some more experience we can definitely add more the level. Thank you for playing!
