How does your game fit the theme?
Instead of a timer ticking down, you are counting down your weight! The theme is all about reducing your backpack's mass. As the distance to your boss counts down, you have to keep throwing away your loot to lower your weight and survive the chase.

cool game! was wishing the drop item will make the police stop for awhile haha
The music fits the game so well that after a while I actually started feeling like I had stolen something myself xDD
Really fun idea. I liked having to manage the weight of the items to keep my speed up. It reminded me of RPGs where carrying too much makes your character slow down. It would actually be pretty funny to see this idea in a Dark Souls style game where you're trying to run away from a boss while your inventory is full of random armor and swords you picked up xDD
That said, the raccoon and police theme works just as well. It's a cute little crime story with great visuals and audio. Nice work, and congratulations!
Thanks for checking that out. I appreciate your time.
Dark Souls is already a nightmare and by adding this it could be impossible to beat LOL
That guy is such a gangsta! Very fun, stressful too ! I really like the pixel art and dither effect. How do you do that ? Do you use shaders or something else tricky ? Is this real 3D ?
Thanks for playing and the feedback.
Yes, the right side of the screen is 3D. And that PSX effect is from this repository: https://github.com/Colby-O2/VNTG
Interesting concept. You basically applied the theme Countdown in 2 different ways - loosing weight to count down the value & distance required to reach counting down - and seamlessly merged them into one solid mechanic! Quite a refreshing idea!
Kudos to you guys for such an awesome pixel graphics and the way you divided 32-bit and 64-bit in 2 parts of the screen, is smart optimization.
I like the idea, and of course the Jimothy! I just couldn't figure out how to not get caught by cops. Interesting concept though!
Creative idea, and starting with a set amount of resources that you have to selectively discard is a novel take on the theme I don't think I've seen someone do yet. It does mostly become an exercise in quickly vibe-checking the cash to weight ratio.
I actually really liked the scrolling ringworld style backdrop, it's a neat effect.
Nice work. I wish there was more incentive to rearrange your pack. Maybe collecting items as you run. That way you're constantly evaluating what you have based on weight, value, and volume.
really thought the visuals were cool, i however cant really understand how to win ? i keep getting caught or junking too much.
Haha, funny raccon ran from cops. But if serious it's interesting, never see that realization of your running speed that depends on your weight.
Thanks for checking that out.
The idea was fun running from cops while thinking about boss. Reminded me of those old movies in which balloon riders had to throw back extra weight to get higher. The value calculation was a bit too math like for me. Never good at fast calculation :))
Thanks for playing and for the comment.
HAH wow i didnt think jimothy would be starring in his own game so soon!!! the music is also hilarious.
i wonder what the point of rearranging the items is? and it would be cool if some items maybe gave you some buffs if you held onto them, or if you could yeet them at the police to slow them down.
really cool and one of the more creative games i've played this jam! congrats ^ ^
Thanks for taking the time to play the game, and thank you for the feedback!
tbh, there's no point to it right now. We started a day late and originally had a few other mechanics planned. One of them involved rearranging your items as you lose tiles from your backpack inventory.
Always good to see Jimothy doing shenanigans. This was fun trying to find a balance between keeping items and losing weight!
Thank you very much for testing out the game.
Nice visuals, good mechanics merged with a creative and cool idea. Great game!
I appreciate your feedback. I'm glad you like it.
Very cool idea. Had fun!
Happy to hear that. Thanks for playing.
Yesss I love Jimothy! Very creative idea, it took me a while, I kept getting so close.
if I had one critique it would be that maybe make the arranging mechanic more important than just min maxing weight and cost. I feels like you need a lucky set of items to win.
other than that, fun game, it made me laugh!
Thanks for taking the time to play the game and for the feedback!
You're righ, because of the short timeframe and starting a day late, I couldn't spend much time balancing the decks I designed. I also had a few ideas to increase the tension and the constant chase, but time was against me.
If you check out the 'What's Next' section on the game page, you'll see that I plan to work on that and introduce arranging mechanics.
Very cool idea! It took a few tries to beat, but very satisfying when I did!
Thank you very much for taking the time to play the game.
Fun puzzle, took some time to figure out the solution
Thanks for the feedback and playing the game.
I LOVE THE RACCOOON HE'S SO CUTE
Thanks a lot!
Fun concept overall.
Figuring out a winning strategy took a few tries.
I thought I was throwing stuff at the police, so it needs to be close for it to register.
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to play the game.
That's an interesting thought.
I love your art style. The dithering shader and the funny "look back" animation are just awesome! The game itself was a bit confusing at first though. It took me a while to see where the target value was shown. It's a funny little game in the end. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to figure it out. Sorry for the confusion.
I am glad you liked it in the end.
