How does your game fit the theme?
The theme "Countdown" is woven into every part of the gameplay. Every platform has its own countdown before it collapses, forcing players to constantly plan ahead and make quick decisions. Instead of racing against a single timer, players must survive in a world where every step has a limited lifespan.

cool gimmick for the theme! the artwork is nice and it feels fun to play, kinda like a mario party minigame <3

Developer

Thanks a lot! We really appreciate it! Really glad you enjoyed the game and the artwork.

It’s a very simple game but it’s really challenging. Congrats!

Very fun game! Simple but fits the theme really well, and the music and art direction create a very nice atmosphere that fits the gameplay well!

Developer

Thank you! We're really happy you had fun! It's always great to hear the art and music came together well.

Fun game! Love the artstyle and the achievements are a cool addition

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Happy to hear you liked both the art and the achievements!

Fun game! Well done.

A neat one! Definitely think the achievement system was an achievement to get implemented in that time (I'm so funny right)

Developer

Thank you! Haha, we'll give you that one. We had a lot of fun adding the achievements, so we're really happy you enjoyed them!

I love the achievements, got 4 unique achievement. Makes me wonder how many more I haven't got and whatever steps I must take (pun unintended) to get them.

Developer

Thank you! Happy to hear you liked the achievements! We had a lot of fun coming up with them~

I enjoy the positioning strategy aspect of this game, attempting not to get stuck in the middle of nowhere and thinking about future moves to do it. I did not quite understand why the tiles sometimes display their timer numbers and sometimes do not. It appears that the timer is running whether or not you can see it. Tile color, meanwhile, seems more reliable.

Developer

Thank you! We're really happy you enjoyed planning your moves ahead, that was exactly what we were going for! As for the timer, it shows up briefly when a tile spawns and then gradually fades out. Thank you for playing!

It was quite fun. I really like the thoughtful design feature where the tiles turn red as the countdown approaches zero.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We're really glad you had fun! It's nice to hear the visual cue worked as intended.

Had a lot of fun! Really liked the achievement unlocks too. I wish I could move around with WASD!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! The achievements were a fun little addition to make each run feel a bit more rewarding. We'd love to add even more if we get the chance to work on the game again in the future!

It's a very interesting entry. It's very fun and feels very well balanced for what it is. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it! We spent quite a bit of time tweaking the balance, so it's great to hear it landed well.

For how much randomness there is, it felt surprisingly fair! The drops are well-telegraphed. I like the theming and overall enjoyed this one, thanks!

I hit about 67 seconds on my first attempt and beat it later with 139 once I realized I can also jump diagonally :).

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it! And wow, 139 seconds is a huge jump from your first run, congrats!

I can’t even fathom how to make such beautiful graphics in such a short timespan. Very well done! Also very creative use of the jam theme, having a minecraft spleef kind-of feeling.

Developer

Thanks a lot! We really appreciate the kind words! The jam was definitely a race against the clock, but hearing that the visuals stood out makes it all worth it. Glad you enjoyed our take on the theme too!

Wonderful character animations. Simple idea and well executed. I did understand what i had to do in the first few seconds. My record is around 100s ;)

Developer

Thank you! We're really happy you had fun! Glad the gameplay was easy to understand from the start. Also, 100 seconds? That's a solid score!

Submitted(+1)

i love the gameplay loop the game is well made and deserves to get turned into a full one, good luck!

Developer

Aww, thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed it. We'd love to keep working on it after the jam, so it's awesome to hear you'd like to see it become a full game~
