It´s a great idea! I see myself playing a full version of this game.
Note: At first I was kind of confused about certain combinations of symbols, like I didn´t know exactly what outcome was x9 and /2 was going to have
I never thought I could get addicted to doing math. Great work!
I know right?! It's fun to try to match as many cards as well as possible especially towards the end :) Thanks for playing!
I got 11445 points. At the end it felt like I was dodging cards like a math bullet hell!
Well played! Thanks for playing :)
Well that woke up the brain up this morning! Great feel to the game that could do with a bit more clear instructions I think. Or did I miss them in game?
Waking up brains is tight! Ehrm, I mean, nah, mate, you didn't miss it. Definitely needs better explaining in-game as well as some finetuning of the point system :)
Math innit. 5 stars either way
Thank you! :)
My brain wasn't ready for this much algebra 🤣
Haha :) Fair enough.
Definitely gets your brain working! The extra multiplication rule threw me off a bit, even with the new description (which was otherwise super helpful btw). The audio is also really nice, although switching the background music before I even realized the level changed was a little off-putting at first. Love the intensity toward the end, too; it put me into all-out panic mode trying to manage everything. Amazing work!
Thank you! The extra multiplication rule even confused my friend who teaches math, so it's not just you :) I added that because I wanted multiply on multiply to "do more" than multiply on plus :)
Hey I enjoyed playing! Interesting idea, like others commented took me some time to understand how the score worked.
Thanks for playing! After all the comments about the confusing point system, I have updated the game page now with a bit more game and point description and examples ;)
Oooh actually very helpful thank you. I'm going to give this another go.
Great! I just noticed an error in the Points screenshot though. I have corrected it. Ax -> Ax gives many more points that the 169 I had shown first.
I think there’s a really solid idea here, it takes a bit to get into but the concept is great and I think with a bit more polish it has a ton of potential!
Well done and keep it up! :D
Thank you so much! I just watched a streamer play it, who was not into it at all :/ Good to hear that you liked it :)
I feel too dumb for this game, I am very confused
Completely understandable. The rules of the game aren't explained very well and some of them I've just made up. Thanks for playing :)
Very fun and cool! I love the music, the art. However I find it a little confusing. What is my goal? What do the syboles mean in relating to the numbers and the order they are in? I think its a super duper great game, just needs a bit more explanation! Also, I just want to emphasize again about the art, its clean and simple and is very cute! It fits well with the game. Good job guys!
Thank You! I agree that it is confusing - definitely needs more explaining :) The art and sound is from Kenneys Asset Pack 1.1.71 - I just changed the sprites a bit to fit the math theme of the game :)
The game is really fun! I had a really good time sinking my teeth into it! The gameplay loop is rewarding and fun, and I really appreciate the polish on the menu. I got a high score of 9843 :D! The only thing the game is missing, in my opinion, is the ability to store your current card to use later, like in Tetris. I had quite a few times, especially in the early game, when I didn't have anything to use a minus/divide on. Overall, incredibly polished entry with lots of potential!
I'm glad you had fun :) You can actually "cheat" a bit, if you get a minus card that you can't use. If you launch it at "nothing" you'll get the value of the card. The menu is built-in to the game engine I used - Usagi - Shout out to Brett Makes Games, who single-handedly made the Usagi Game Engine!
interesting, imagine this game with trignometry, calculus and linear algebra!🤯🤯🤯
Good suggestions :) There's definitely potential for adding more complex math! Thanks for playing :)
