Super cool presentation. I'd love to see the game expanded with a whole book worth of story!

Really unique concept, great aesthetic with dungeon on the open books pages, an interesting level design! I found the difficulty after the boulder trap falls of a bit. Overall, fun game!

This is a super cool and unique presentation for a game! I really love it and I've never seen anything like it before. So that's super sick! I think the one-shot death is a little too punishing for some of the traps. But super well done!

The art is amazing, it kinda gives old school pen and paper rpg book vibes. Incredible job!

this is one of my favorite games in the jam.  the book-style of this game is awesome... I could see it being extended, playing out over multiple pages or books, etc.  the gameplay is also super slick, while being straightforward and also open-ended.  great work!

Im a big fan of one page RPGs so this was freaking awesome to see!! really cool style great idea! and the sound was juicy had to hit some corpses a few more times just to hear the whack XD

AGGGHHH The boulder! Just as I thought that the slope was suspicious.
This is a really nice concept very well executed. Right up there with jam faves.

Developer(+1)

Never trust a suspicious slope.

Game in a book. The art style is really nice. Dying in unexpected ways on an unexpecting platform.

Would love a full book of this, there can be so much twist with this format!

I was very confused at first but when i realized the game was inside the book i was amazed. Super cool idea i love it!

Cool art style. I feel like combat needs polishing, if you are fast enough you can just run past all enemies.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I didn't nail the enemy behaviours.  First time and all.

Yeah I mean it's a game jam game, I just wanted to point it out in case you want to expand on this project.

Thanks!

Interesting idea! I thought the artstyle was quite fun and liked the bit of text that explained the world. The one major complaint I had with the game was that having to completely reset after dying to a new obstacle was really frustrating, as I had to play through all the stuff that wasn't difficult just to get back to someplace where I died by getting surprised. Overall really interesting game!

Absolutely love this game, I only wish there were more chapters so I could play more levels.  It kept surprising me every few steps as I got further in the level only to die in a new unexpected way, worth swapping to controller to play when keyboard didn't work.
