Nice game I enjoy it a lot!!
Great first game! We dream of this level of polish in 4 days. If we can hit this standard in our next jam that would be goals. :)
I won’t hold back on my praise, because this little game is simply brilliant. I can appreciate just how challenging it is to get started in level design, but you’ve pulled it off. Thank you for all your hard work – well done!
Wow! Such high praise!
Thank you!
This is awesome! Simple but fun and feels really tight. My only real notes would be that I think the levels could come together a little more if the enemies played a bigger role in completing the levels. It feels like they're mostly made to be ignored.
But super good game! Well done!
Thank you!
Being so new to this, level design was not something we were prepared to be so difficult.
But all the comments are inspiring me to taking this game further!
Simple and fun :)
Thanks for playing!
The viewport is too small in relation to the window size but besides that this game looks very polished! The idea of using bullets to platform is very creative, wish there were a few more levels to expand upon the idea (maybe more weapons that fire in different speeds and have different ammo counts?)
That is one SMOOTH jump sound too I'm going to need to take that from you
I know! Didn't find that out till after submissions closed 🤦 Just a game jam noob here haha
I'll fix it as soon as I can! yeah would definitley like to expand this further post jam.
Thanks for playing!
Seems so polished and well made! I wish there were more levels.
Thanks for playing!
Yes, hopefully more to come!
Nice game for a first submission. I enjoyed all way through
Thanks for playing!
Very creative in the mechanic! The sfx are crisp as well.
Thank you!
Yeah we scoped down everything else so we could add some good juice so I appreciate you noticing!
nice, stylish game with a fun mechanic! i love how the bullets can be used for platforming, not just shooting. the game is a bit small in relation to the viewport, but should be an easy fix. excited to see how you expand it!
Thank you!
Yeah, first game problems haha didn't even know that was a problem till after submissions closed!
A nice short game. I especially like the music and idea of using gun reaction force to parkour!
Although sometimes I can't climb on the wall as I wish, I would like to keep trying because it's cute.
Thanks for playing!
I love the mechanic, getting a really big boost right after a jump feels super satisfying! Great execution on the idea!
Thank you! Yeah, we weren't sure what was better, setting a fixed velocity or adding velocity so its variable depending on when in the jump you use it. I like where it landed and I'm glad you like it too!
Nice mechanic to cooperate limited bullet counts with platform puzzles. I enjoyed it very much! Thank you for submitting such a creative entry!
Thank you!
Cool game! Like how it teaches without telling.
Thank you! I'm glad you like that
I appreciate that in games too :)
Nice game!!! Great use of the theme and the gameplay is smooth and professional! bravo
Thank you! very kind
Wow this game feels really good to play! Easy to pick up and the controls are very resposive. Clear graphics and objectives. Super fun!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyedWe definitly put more time into how it feels over how big it was so happy to hear that paid off
Congratulations on your first game! It's actually a good start tbh. I like the use of the gun's recoil for additional mobility. Reminds me of one of my first games on itch, which used bombs instead. This can easily be expanded if you can add more enemies or more ways for the gun to interact with stuff. If you want to lean into the puzzle side, you can limit the number of bullets to exactly the amount you need to complete each level. If you want to lean into the action side, then you can add more challenging platforms and enemies. The possibilities are endless!
Thank you! This is really encouraging feedback and definitely motivating to expand this concept further!
Honestly it's really amazing! The concept is simple but you use it really well in the gameplay and the puzzles are really good. I struggle a bit with the reaction of the shotgun which seemed to lag a tiiiiiiny bit on my browser. But other than that I had a blast playing that game! Congratulations and thank you for this fun moment!
Thank you!
Ok good to know, I wonder if there is a way to optomise that.
Appreciate the kind feedback!
Great work. I liked how the levels themselves taught me how to use the gun rather than a tutorial. Good work!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it, I always appreciate when games do that too
