How does your game fit the theme?
This game is about surviving for 10 days on an island, and watching the stats go down as the rescue day gets closer.

Great job on the game. I think some additional clarity as to what happens when the days end (apparently all your meters drop) or why you died (not sure why I died, I thought I had food and water), would be helpful :) Also it was sad to see resources on the grass and having no idea how to walk on to it!

Developer

Thanks!! Health is what counts the most, and the other stats (and some items) can decrease it. I think some improvements to UI would help a lot.

It's a great stating point! Would be great to give some indication that the death is near before showing the end screen so player feel more pressure to find food or water quickly.  Also I couldn't  figure out how to walk on or get to the grass..  Great job tho

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'd like to make walking slower, or maybe a change in music to indicate danger.

could be for example dark or red blur around the edges ;) maybe the darkness around the edges of the screen that is getting bigger and bigger until the character in the middle vanishes in the darkness - representation of loosing the consciousness or something.  Look for  "blackout vignette"

pretty good try. the idea was solid, and the art is good, only have 4 things to say:

1. a better ui would have been nice

2. making it show you can get all resources , many coconuts and sticks spawned in the water or on the grass, and i could get them

3. an extra challenge, every day is the same , some events would be nice

4, Music!!! some sfx  would have made teh game a lot better, you caN FINDnice sound effects on pixabay

Overall a pretty good try for a 4 day jam !!!!

This game has 2 count downs. The current day, and the count down till you get rescued. The day count down doesnt seem to matter all toooo much, but count down till rescue does

Cute simple game, easy to understand, dont rely on sticking by the water source too long lol

Developer

Thanks for playing! The day counter resets items each day.

I really liked this one! At day three, I struggled with water but realized that I don't have to collect bottles. (What a revelation. :D) But I made it through! I also liked that you can collect the sticks and pretty shells but cannot do anything with it. It makes you feel the cluelessness of this character, or as if you could "rate" with that how well you have done.

The only thing that confused me was that there are fruits etc. you cannot reach. It did not feel right for me, for example, that you cannot go on to the green grass.

Anyways, a nice entry! I really enjoyed it :)

Developer

Thanks for playing!! I wanted to add hiking boots that let you walk on grass if you find them, but ran out of time because of the way I set up the tilemap lol.

I drank water when I found it, but I was really only interested in finding the PRETTY SHELL. WHERE IS IT?

Developer

PRETTY SHELL

Peak game dude keep it up!

Thanks!!

I enjoyed the game. I was not sure about what to do with sticks but time is always short for game jam! Like some others, i took every ressources as fast as possible :) Good game!

Developer

Glad you liked it!!

Enjoyed it but died quickly lol

I think it has potential to have a full story and interactions. I liked the detail of numbers and having to check them at all times. I think it's sometimes unclear what each item is or does, so maybe an item description shows up when the player gets near them? just a suggestion. I enjoyed it nonetheless. :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!! I'd like to add an inventory system that could provide more details.

Fun game! Also ate everything too quickly like others, but the tone of the game was definitely fitting for the circumstances, very enjoyable :)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Damn I just ate whatever I saw instantly and quickly ran out hahaha. Great game. Loved it!

Glad you enjoyed it!!

In retrospect I probably shouldn't have housed every fish I found as soon as I got it ahhaha. Just realised our games are strangely similar in their designs!

Developer(+1)

Some fish are evil lol. Your game is really cool btw!

First of all, loved the art style and attention to detail with the tilemap colliders. Something about feeling the edges of the tiles scratched an itch I didn't know I had.
But, I'm not sure that I understand the game properly. All I could figure out is that you wander around picking things up... If there is more content, I would've appreciated more of a hint of how to find it.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I had more ideas for content, like collecting sticks to build a shelter and sleep some days away, or an NPC that really wants a nice seashell in exchange for something, but ran out of time. I might add it later, but we'll see lol!
