By far (and I mean it) the best puzzle game of this jam. My initial idea was creating something like a maze thats always shifinting where every day you would gather knowledge of how it works to scape before its too late, but I thought it would be too greedy. Nice to see an idea similar to mine but more grounded and very well executed.
The only thing I would add is a redo the last step button, btw. Still, 5 stars for me
yo thanks man for such kind words, definitely check out your game too
Very interesting puzzle game.
Really satisfying but it was difficult that i can't complete
This was very fun and satisfying to finish. It was difficult, for sure, but I like that the game trusts players to figure out how mechanics connect together on our own. I was scratching my head a few times, but the reachable areas of the world slowly expanding coupled with the subtle visual hints got me through it, and the connections always felt obvious and fair afterwards. Superb level design. I would love to see this game continued into a series of levels with a narrative.
thanks for the feedback! Series is slightly too much for us, but we consider this for our next games
Another great steps-based puzzle game and another greatly implemented. Slightly too difficult for me at few points and the sound of teleportation was quite annoying but i kept on trying
soo satisfying simple bit very good
Great game, I liked that you have limited steps but actions you perform remains, so we can slowly and steadily uncover the world.
Mine is also step related, but it is simple puzzle game.
I really enjoyed it. It feels well thought of.
It was quite tough figuring out how everything works, but I managed to beat it in the end!
I was stuck trying to figure out what to do next for like 20 minutes until I randomly pushed a rock (which I thought was immovable like the trees) in the top-right screen and was like OHHH… so that’s what I have to do… and then the rest of the game went pretty smoothly from there. It also wasn’t immediately clear that the buttons undo the rocks (since nothing really changes if you press it for the first time before doing anything else), so I reset the game page after messing up the bottom-left screen even though I didn’t really have to…
If you make a postjam update, please consider tutorialising mechanics to the players a bit more, and maybe make the interactable objects like rocks stand out more. It would also be nice to have a way to undo your last move so that you don’t have to repeat the same sequence of moves if you slightly mess up.
Other than that, the game was very fun, and the artstyle is super cute. The mechanics are very cool and have a lot of potential if you decide to make a full release of the game. Congrats!
This was really well done! The puzzles were super satisfying and difficult but still understandable, the pacing was really sharp and the audio and graphics were phenomenal at delivering the aesthetic to explore, it reminds me of old nes games with puzzles.
I Love the retro vibe of the game! The puzzles are kinda tricky , Good Game !
Very cool! Reminds me of Promesst. Kind of progressive puzzle, slowly moving towards the right state of the world. Super enjoyable and beautiful.
It's so cool ! I had so much fun playing it, my favorite so far !
Thanks for kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Cool idea! I love the vibe and the progression of unlocking new elements. It's quite hard, and I feel confused about what some of the mechanics do, so I wasn't able to finish it... regardless, nice work!
Very cool puzzle game.
The sound design is excellent, the visuals are also great, and the game makes excellent use of the theme. Great job!
I really like the art and vibe of the game. The idea of walking so many steps fits perfectly with the count down theme. I wasn't really able to get far, it's very difficult. But had fun just wandering around in the vibe of it.
Very fun puzzle x metroidvania crossover! The item/ability setups did a great job allowing incremental progression across the map. I did have some trouble getting started, however, due to screen boundaries obscuring certain paths into new areas. The other friction point I found was the lack of visual indicator for what the currently inactive switch colors are. This would have helped the puzzling side of things a bit toward the end rather than just running around flipping each switch by hand. Still very fun overall!
Exremely unfortunate that I wanted to keep playing this game, loved the vibe, I am sucker for colors and crt shaders, but we're never really taught any of the puzzle elements so you naturally get to a point where it feels impossible to move forward. I gave this as much time as I could, it just wouldn't love me back. Great Vibe, just too confusing eventually.
could you tell at what point you realized the puzzle was impossible to solve, pls?
Good game.
Could you rate my game too?
