An absolute blast of a game. Im so glad I gave this a shot. The music was so fire and the weapons all synced up really well, the SMG was kinda not a rhythmic one but it did feel on beat still. The gameplay was also really fun, i like that the enemies actually have smart AI, completely cooked me ngl Only issue i faced was the green keycard lmao took a real long time to find it but besides that it was all OK.. Love the retro feel too overall just amazing vibes all around, Great job yall!

The SMG is def the weakest link of the bunch - I think I'd probably turn it into a burst fire weapon that has a one-beat cooldown between shots, or maybe have the first shot accentuated somehow, so you can't half-beat fire it. It's more of a "I cant hit the tempo" gun at the moment, for sure.
The enemy AI is such a funny thing because I had to recode some of it to fix a bug where when they'd die, they'd still react when you got close, forgetting they were dead - meaning they'd slide across the floor at you for a beat, then remember to die, then do it all again. They've got behaviours to avoid just rushing right at you, which means sometimes you'll have them actively decide to flank you, or melee enemies will try to surround you. It's why you have such a high jump, so if they do out-manoeuvre, you can still jump over and out of harms way.
That green keycard is such a pain too, the fact the light doesn't turn on when it's ready to be picked up is so annoying, and a casualty of last-minute platform changing from web to windows. Such a pain.
I'm glad you had fun though, and thank you for playing!
