How does your game fit the theme?
My game is about a ramen chef wh can play music to make ramen. As the player you have to successfully read and play the 4 notes before the timer which represents the customer's patience finishes. The timer is counting down and that is how my game fits the theme.

Concept is good, but not everyone good at music. Maybe some tutorials?

Thank you for the feedback.

Honestly, this may be the best use of my Music Education degree I've ever had!

Thank you!

I like that this actually required knowing sight reading. Thought maybe the keys could have been pressed on the beat, but other than that, I liked the story you incorporated (who doesn't love ramen?) Nice job!

Thanks!

I'm a self-taught musician and I haven't read sheet music in 20 years so it was hard for me to get into it, the idea is fun though :)

Developer

Thank you and do you have any suggestions to make it more accessible for non-musicians.

A few ideas:
- Play the audio of the notes when the "order" appears so you have an additional way of "learning" the order
- Play the audio of a note when you press it on the piano

- Show the note played on the scale (visually), so you can adjust higher or lower based on that
- Make the gameplay elements bigger

I've read in another comment that you had issues with playing multiple sounds, but in case you manage to fix it I think more audio cues would help in general :)

Developer

Thank you, I may build this game a bit more after the jam.

Cute! Nice concept, but really hard if you haven't had any music training. I wish the piano played the notes when you pressed them. Great work, keep it up!

Developer

It did but unfortunately that meant the backing track and notes clashed so I had to remove one of them.
