Art is a 10, especially considering the time constraint. The parallax layering feels great. Feel like the scaling effect happening when the player turns feels off, seems like it would fit the style more if it just snapped to facing the other direction rather than scaling to it. Great job overall!
Really intuitive gameplay. I love the tenseness it creates towards the end!
really nice graphics very good game
Very minimalistic, but effective game design. It really captured the panic of being underwater while trying to find a path through the maze and quickly reach the surface. The art style is stunning! :)
The graphics are amazing, well done!
Graphics are really eye-catching, and the impending doom of the shrinking visibility and audio that goes with it really works to get on one's nerves.
I was a little torn on the reduction of visibility, since it eventually gets to a point where the player can't really win anymore, since they can't see anything (unless they happen to already be at the right place). However, when I did finally make it to the end (try 3, I think?), the panic as the light got snuffed out but the continual upward movement really worked well to evoke the feeling I imagine you wanted players to feel. And that feeling when you see the end -- great stuff.
One thing I'd suggest is giving some kind of indication as to whether the player is still moving. When it gets real dark, you might just be swimming up into a ceiling, and there's no way to know.
Also, there were a few places where it was difficult to distinguish where you can and can't go; as in, it looks like there's a wall, but it's actually just a background asset. Having the background objects be darkened or lightened or something to distinguish them would be helpful. On that same note, there are a few places where it looks like there's a gap between two rocks, but then my guy can't manage to pass through; having that look impassable would have been appreciated.
Beautiful graphics. Good music. The game keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
But it's unclear where you're headed; the start should have been more educational.
good art and sound
good art and sound
Gorgeous game, nice twist on implementing a timer. Some effects on the sound as you're running out of oxygen would be cool too
Although the controls felt a little awkward, overall it was a great game.
Also, I love the visuals, it's incredible.
Great game, very similar to our concept with the shrinking vision mechanic. Artwork/animation was also really good and the music created some tension. Would have liked something that spoke about the objective a bit, but easy enough to figure out. Well done!
Great job on this! I have to agree with the other comments the art is really nice, but that visibility made navigating the maze a lot harder!
I enjoyed the art, music and ambiance, and pretty quickly figured out it was a maze. Controls weren't too bad either, and the narrowing FOV was a nice touch, but could've used a little more of the horror aspect, and there wasn't really a clear direction of what I was aiming for.
It's a maze ! I loved the artwork, I didn't like the controls.
I was under so much pressure with the tiny screen and reducing visibility.
GG for the game !
