Really cool concept. I love the art work. I would remove the candle melting sound because it overpowered the wonderful music. It was kind of hard to control especially double jump and interact with levers. It would be awesome to see this worked on further outside of the jam. Good job!

How does your game fit the theme?
You are playing as a character who is slowly burning through all their wax. You are fighting the countdown of running out of wax.

really loved the concept but unfortunately the clunkiness of the controls and the fact that I got reset to the beginning (but my character didn't) when I died definitely decreased my overall enjoyment of the game. I think there is real potential here for puzzles and would've loved to see it expanded further. good work with this and congrats to the team!
I like how your resource system (wax) determines your weight and mobility, affecting how you interact with objects in the level. The level design is solid. This is a solid game that can be easily expanded upon in the future. Great work.
cute game! i love the aesthetic and the game play is polished. i thought you did an excellent job in such little time
Wow! SUCH a creative mechanic to have not only your abilities tied to your health, but the health also tied to your height (and in a way, time to complete the level). And the artwork! stunning
Cool mechanic with your hp and depens your abilities on it, but some tutro will be good, cause i don't understand that you got double jump only when small
Interesting mechanic of different abilities depending on wax.
The art itself pretty good, but some of the textures are blurry. The levers are sometimes hardly visible.
The sound is really good. I liked the adaptiveness of the music to the level of wax.
Pretty good overall!
clever central mechanic where stamina is also your health and also your character's height. have legs to continue past the jam as a puzzle platformer, maybe?
I like the idea of being a wax man and having to melt and restore yourself to get through areas. There were a few bugs - notably that when you play any level but the first and try to reset, it breaks the game. I had a fun time playing the game, all around
The idea is very interesting. Using the health as a timer and give different skills to the player based on that.
The art is also very good, but as other comments say, it's a bit difficult to see what is interactive or when the gates are open or not.
Maybe another detail could be add some marks in the bottom bar to make more clear when the character can push a box or have the double jump. The detail of the head being smaller over time is cool, but sometimes I didn't know when I was able to use the double jump.
The concept is absolutely mind-blowing! The clever details in the music are fantastic, and the visual style is completely flawless!
However, the main issue is the lack of proper onboarding and guidance, which made the experience a bit rough. I eventually ran into a progress wall where I got completely stuck with no clear idea of how to solve it.
There are also a few noticeable bugs that need fixing, for example:
1. The second respawn point causes the camera to get stuck in the previous checkpoint's room.
2. Time tokens dropped by defeated monsters aren't properly cleaned up upon respawn—their hitboxes remain active, so you can collect them again after dying and farm a ton of extra time.
Overall, it’s a super creative game that just needs a bit more polish. Once tuned properly, this could easily be a phenomenal game!
first of all, absolutely PEAK character design in this. also great interpretation/execution of the theme in general! my only critique is that attacking stops the momentum of the character which feels a little off, but overall great work!
Great take on the theme, But it's really hard to discern interactive element from decors
Fun game! The candle knight is absolutely dapper. I had a weird bug (feature) in level 1 where I could build up stored momentum by running into the wall while I was tall, and once I was small enough to fit under the box I would shoot forward. Super cool idea though!
Really creative idea, love the art and sound! Can't seem to get past the first part as I can't jump high enough, maybe I'm missing something though
Very clever game fitting the jam perfectly. It’s very hard to understand the mechanics but when you do it’s quite fun. Good job !
Super creative use of the wax melting, it took me a second to get it but becoming incredibly short to fit through tight spaces was really cool, and being all big and tall to push boxes was also awesome.
Fantastic character design. The candle is so handsome.
