Great game! Some minor bugs but very enjoyable and love that he progressively gets more and more burnt

I'm pretty sure if you're getting sunburned that quickly it's because the sun is actively detonating and no amount of shade will protect you.

Neat idea for a game! I thought it was pretty fun, though somewhat difficult. Level 3 got the better of me unfortunately.

Visually this is pretty great, and the narrative/motivation is pretty funny too.

I noticed the shade collision could act kinda weird under certain circumstances, particularly when two distinct shade objects are next to each other or overlapping. If you leave one while in the other you'll start taking damage. No idea how unity works, but if I had to guess I'd assume the game only recognizes that you left a shaded area and not that you're still in one since it would have last received the signal (or whatever the unity equivalent is) that you left. Didn't hold this against the game though, bugs are almost inevitable in jams, and it was pretty easy to avoid once I realised what was going on.

My favorite part was my little guy getting more sunburned over time

Great game! cool and original art style, interesting mechanic, like floor is lava!

Great job! I had a blast playing this. It provides a solid challenge, and despite a few minor bugs with the shadows, it's incredibly fun. The art style is fantastic, too! I think adding a bit more juice to the movement and overall mechanics would elevate the immersion, giving the amazing feeling of actually being on a beach.

It was a really creative take on the theme, just fix some of the shadows!, it has a lot of potential!

I found this very fun even though its a very simple concept. My only issue was that I would take damage in the shade sometimes. Good job :)

Cool game! Made me think of this Bill Wurtz clip that’s pretty much ancient now but still kinda funny.

Anyway, the game is great. It’s cool how the same map can make a bunch of different levels that are all really fun. The character slowly getting super sunburned is a great detail! Sometimes (mostly between the two overlapping umbrellas at spawn) I’ll enter a shadow and keep taking damage, which is a little annoying, but I usually survive since going out and back into the shadow fixes it.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to beat this one, but it was super cool! I love the art style and the theme; it creates a great atmosphere. I wish the shadows were more precise visually, but it's quite a fun game. Who knew I'd lose so many pairs of swim trunks!
