awesome game! I loved how the game really encouraged me to engage in my crippling cigarette addiction. I felt like I wasn't going to be able meet my very important deadlines if I did smoke a cig or two, particularly at that last level. I do kinda wish my mood decreased faster so I would have to take care of it more. But other than that I loved playing! I also really liked that I die at my desk at the end no matter what I do lol, seemed fitting.

Developer

Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! We considered adding items that would lower Mood, but we couldn’t think of anything suitable, so we ended up dropping the idea. As for the player dying at the end, that was an ending bug we didn’t have time to fix, haha.

Submitted

Damn, I really thought that dying at the end was like a social commentary lmao

Developer

I just realized everyone thought the same, lmao

Love the Game! Everything about it is great, the artstyle, end credits, and gameplay.

cozy horror this is the games genre i think. but really well  made

Fun game, but I think I'm getting the same bug as everyone else: I got the Lose screen when I was supposed to get a Victory screen? And my Mood never really went down, only Vitality, so I kept smoking my fat pack of cigs. Was playing from Firefox, not sure if that would cause any issues!

Other than that, good job, this game is a vibe

too real for me. this game has me in it. love the artwork and vibe

Love the art style - fun game

I think you don't need to pull items on your character to use them, 1 click will be enough

Typing 2 hand on the keyboard and Navigating the Item with mouse is kinda difficult, Maybe if they're Binded to the key like Numbers would feel more natural. Love the Art still.

Need to type quite fast, difficult if you're not a practised typist. But nicely done, graphics look very good!

Submitted

I type fast, so this game was pretty easy although at the very end on the last word, despite looking like I had enough health left, I died after typing it.

…on the very last word. Oops.

Well, it was kinda fun and somewhat relaxing, so I’ll give it a pass anyway.

Developer

Thank you for playing all the way to the end!
There was a bug that caused every outcome to trigger the death ending, and we didn’t catch it in time during testing.

I'm not gonna lie but Your game give vibe feels my work life haha

each word that I have to type that make me feel creepy that I used to it before feeling like hear my de(vil)ar friend again.

but overall, it's really creative 5/5

If you have the time, please try and rate my game too :D

Developer

Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! I’ve rated on your game too, you all did an amazing job as well!

Developer

The game currently has an ending bug: whether or not you meet the final deadline, both outcomes incorrectly trigger the Death ending where Vitality reaches zero : (

https://kurozawa123.itch.io/floor-zero This is my friends’ GMTK game. But sadly, they forgot to submit it to the gamejam.  They created some amazing 3D visuals in a very short time,
Please check it out if you can! I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out and feedback.QWQ

They weren’t able to participate in this game jam, but they’d still really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! QWQ

Playing this game made me realize that I touch type with my right hand but not my left...

Anyway, nice game! Everything seems well made across the board. I think I got a failure somehow when I was supposed to win or maybe I misunderstood that you're supposed to die anyway, but I did get the nice win music. I had fun. Good job!

Dang, 4 days of programming just to relive it all ovet again...

Nice little entry, I really enjoyed it! Graphics were definitely the cherry on top here!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you for the encouragement! We’ll keep doing our best for next!

Really fun! At the beginning, I was very confused as I didn't see any items and kept dying. (Because I was on ultrawide lol and the top/bottom was cut off). I only ever needed the cigarettes. It would have been nice to have some punishment for using the items. Eg limited inventory?

I really enjoyed the art style. I like how it responded to the items consumed. Typing felt responsive, and the sound effects when punished/successed were both great.

Perhaps it would be nice to see the next word beforehand. I can type much faster that way.

Overall, though really good job!!

Developer

Thanks for your comment!

We actually considered limiting the number of items at the beginning, but later gave up on the idea because balancing and testing the values would have taken too much time.

As for choosing the next word, that’s a great point. For example, while typing the current word, the player could press 1, 2, or 3 to decide what the next word will be. That would probably make the typing experience more varied and engaging.

Its been a while since iv tested my typing skills, played through all 3 days i didnt know a nicotine addiction was meta these days HAHAHA super OP item specially since its only 3 days the reduce in max vit couldn't handle my work ethic. Idk how i died though.. maybe a visual bug with the max vitality thing?  Didn't really take away much of the experience. Overall surprisingly cozy game.

Sorry , there was a bug at the end of the game: whether or not you completed the final deadline, both outcomes incorrectly triggered the death ending where Vitality reaches zero :)
