Really fun take on the jam topic! While it takes a bit of getting used to, it becomes an awesome rythm game after a bit. Everything is very intuitive, and no tutorial needed. While i really enjoy the troll double stack 10 and 18, a bit of visual clarity would be really helpful to discover which tile will get dropped next. Nevertheless I really laughed at those 2, so that did not hinder my fun. Got all the way to 11 with all coins. Good job!

This is a really creative game! I like how simple the main idea is and how you expanded on it in your levels, like skipping some numbers and putting decoys. I think there definitely could have been more, but of course it's a game jam and there's rarely time for that. Great work on this game!

Developer

Yeah there could be more like pickups with powers to jump higer or moveing platforms up and down, left and right, and other things. I am glad you liked my game. Thanks for the feedback!

This is easily the most unique take on the jam theme, great mechanics! It would be cool to add more movement to the game, like keeping the cube constantly in motion, *Geometry Dash* style. The execution is really impressive, playing through the levels was engaging, and I got totally hooked on the challenge of seeing how far I could get. Plus, the atmosphere is great, I really enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, the only problem with the game in consideration of the Jam is that there is no narrative so I am loosing on that. I am glad that you people like my game didn’t expect that.

The game turned out to be great in terms of gameplay. I see that you wrote it in SFML.

I didn't see the narrative (even after repeated playthrough), the graphics are simple but clear, the audio feedback and music are not bad.

The game is gameplay-oriented, similar to Rider, but plays out the countdown timer in an original way.

PS: I noticed that you save achievements in text form, and this is the case, but it is easily modified. A binary ASCII-like record would be better.

Thank you for the feedback. There is no narrative because I didn’t really think of it, maybe should of just add some thing at the start to tell the player to get to the platform with number 0, or some story on the reason you need to get there. Yeah this is my first time I made a game for a Game Jam without an engine and I am glad I’ve done it. Yeah the achievements could be made in binary or something because on how C++ works, it is easy to do. If you saw the levels are made like that to, and you can add more levels to the game just by copying a level file change its name to the next number level, and edit the level file to what you want.

Super fun and super creative! The biggest improvements are in the juice, I would like to see a lot more game feel and reactivity to my actions.
I also found it extremely hard at times to tell which platform was next due to all the greys looking similar. Some color or some other way to give a sense of progress would be good for game feel and communicating information to the player. I also found myself playing by keeping an internal rhythm. This made the timer at the top useless. It would be really good if there was something closer to the player that gave a sense of when the next platform was coming. I really liked the sound design of the platforms, is was so satisfying to get in a good rhythm and clear a level.

All these critiques are minor, and you did great work especially on the level design. The concept was iterated on in some neat ways! I would totally come play again with some more polish and some more levels with new mechanics.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, I didn’t really add a loot of juice because I didn’t use an engine, and I needed to think of things like how buttons work, or the collision system, etc. Anyway that’s not the problem the problem is the time and how I managed it. I surprised that the game is so fun for people. Maybe I will try to make an update to the game.

Loved the core mechanic and the collectables. I wanted to retry each level til I got all 3.

Did you get far? Because I think the levels are kinda hard sometimes. Thanks for the feedback.

I beat every level. I thought it was challenging but not frustrating. A visual indicator of how much time a platform has would be nice.

Developer

I am glad that you completed all the levels. Thanks for playing!

Surprisingly fun concept that makes it almost feel like a rhythm game. I think adding a color sequence to the platforms would make it a bit easier than reading the numbers in such a fast paced game

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback, yeah I thought about that but it was a bit late. I was thinking of adding a collor to the platforms that are solid, the fade thing on them is not that good. Or putting the countdown clooser to the playwr so it is easier to know when to jump!
