Really beautiful game, and the narrative ties in to the mechanics really well

How does your game fit the theme?
Steps are counting down

Genuinely the best narrative of the entire jam, good job. I hope this wins because this game hits hard.
Very bittersweet take on the countdown theme
You did well to tell the narrative through the environment, in such a short experience I really got to know this character.
Well done,
I'm not crying, you are
I really like the concept, and this game is really polished. I guess the game is trying to go for a slow pace, but I feel like this game can benefit from shorter downtime, (but of course, reducing the amount of steps you have). I wasn't a big fan of the quotes, I feel like "showing" is more important
This game is so sad yet weirdly cozy. The way you move is so slow, it would've been annoying if it wasn't perfectly fitting for this game. I love how you learn about the main character from the environement, and it was fun to explore, the art is a pleasure to look at. One thing i want to compliment in particular is how all the little parts of the game that are always present elevate the experience, makes it feel more full, makes it feel jst right - the fact that there's no music, just the wind and the sound of your steps, the ga=ray background in contrast with the colourful rest of the world, the flying leaves, the quotes. It's a very well made, polished game, and a truly deep experience. It's beautiful.
I won't make that last step.
This is my favorite one so far. Thanks for the game
There is a certain irony in having to trade up precious moments of your life for a coin just to do something you wish you had done sooner. Beautiful little game. I was hoping someone interpreted countdown in this sense. Having said that, I do think the walk speed was just a bit too slow for how long the game is. Other than that, good job!
Overall really fun little game. A surprisingly emotional journey that I failed the first time, but wanted to see the successful ending and played through a second time right away. Sound design was also crisp and somewhat nostalgic, would highly recommend playing. My only nitpick is the wish list jittering when you walk.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING! I had so much fun. It is sooooo dark! Really well done :3
