How does your game fit the theme?
You are driving in a car, and the GPS counts down the miles until you reach your destination. We wanted to explore the idea of "countdown as time limit" in an unusual way by having the in-game story continue (without the player) after the timer runs out.

I like how moody this game is, and the open-endedness of it. At first I was afraid of getting the connections "wrong" and not advancing but I realize this isn't that kind of game, and you're free to sort out your thoughts in different ways, which I like quite a bit. The setting's a great way to establish a natural countdown without outright just putting a clock into the game too!

I did notice that, even though I could mostly arrange the words however I liked, there seemed to be a few thoughts that refused to connect together. I'm not sure if that's a deliberate choice, but some of them seemed like they would make logical sense, like "I learned to live there..." "...thanks to you" seem like they could be a valid connected pair, but they refused to pair up.

With a bit more time we would definitely love to make a more flexible system for connecting thoughts so players can take the story in more directions. :) Thank you for playing and the feedback!

Very nice unique experience, I truly loved the artwork, lighting, and music all put together.

The night-drive atmosphere is lovely, especially with the music and scattered thoughts. Really vibe! i found it hard sometimes to connect dots , but it was so good. And the UI on the phone - top "candy"

Beautifully made game!

I had to keep driving to see where it ended up. Thanks for a break in my day to chill out to some tunes and get my thoughts together. Nice!

It made me feel sad and reflective, and it gave me chills, so you did a good job. I love the poems and the nostalgic feeling. I think the game's mechanics could be communicated a bit more clearly through the gameplay.

Thought the game was well made with a strong atmosphere. The art, music and gameplay mechanic are quite cohesive.

I wasn't able to figure out the gameplay, am stuck in the second sentence with 4 options. I feel like the phrase placement mirrors how scattered thoughts are quite well but connecting them is less intuitive. For example, sometimes dragging a phrase places it in front vs the back at times. I'm not sure what the blue coloured text is trying to tell me, seems like it signals the end of a thought but not sure why that's helpful. Would help if we got some visual cue on whether thoughts made sense. I like how the thoughts turned yellow in sequence to show completion but each phrase also turns yellow when clicked on, so maybe a different colour tagging could help differentiate it further.

Overall I can tell this game was made with love, enjoyed the short time I had with it!

So relaxing with a really good narrative. It took me a bit of a time to understand what's going on, but after that it was a smooth ride :)

It was kinda confusing at first but after i understood what to do it was good, also the music was really good did you make it?

Developer

The music was made by Destin(https://destin715.itch.io/) on our team! He did a superb job with it!! Thank you for playing <3

I'm confuse, couldn't figure out why i was stuck on the first 3 though. (and took time to find the start button so might just be my brain haha) Great vibe tho

Few games manage to capture the pensive atmosphere of long highway drives in the dusk, but your team captured it so well! I do want to ask what the occasional thump in the car was though, I kept thinking I was driving with a flat tire or something? Regardless, I was surprised by the time I reached the destination as I had found myself so occupied with collecting/connecting my thoughts and wondering what would happen when I arrived. This is really something special!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. You should visit Baltimore sometime xD The potholes out here are horrendous. Thank you so much for playing!

This is so good, the atmosphere is exactly what is has to be, the story and narrative that could be told is great, I felt my emotions being evoked! and I enjoyed making sentences, although it did take me a little bit to understand how to do so properly, great job!

This made me feel something different, wonderful work.

I loved this game and it's a much more reflective take on the countdown theme than most submissions. I was sometimes a bit confused on how to connect the phrases though. Anyhow, really enjoyed being able to paint a narrative with the phrases.

This is a spiritual experience.

Awesome concept. Really creative intepretation of the countdown concept. I love how the atmosphere tells a lot with little
