I REALLY enjoyed this game. Really clever mechanics, with opportunity for creative gameplay (e.g. "do I knock the red -1 ball out of the area, or do I risk it and try to get the green -1 and the purple x-1 ball in?). Graphics are great as well, and the "click" of a pool ball is always satisfying. Lovely stuff.
i had a lot of fun! very simple but fun with a twist! GGs
This take on pool is very interesting. I had a lot of fun. The art is great, die mechanic feels good and polished. The only thing the game could benefit from would be to give the player more feedback after each phase (not only when it hits zero). Yeah I know that it's like this because of the countdown theme but you play a round, succeed and get thrown into the next round ... there need some kind of satisfaction or a reward...
I am not kidding here... perfect game. 5/5 in all categories. The music is a banger. The aesthetic is spot, goofy cantina rocks! I swear that when I landed the trick shot to achive this countdown I could not believe it, ran back to the comment section and gave you the review right away...
Please consider making this a bigger game. Polish it a bit more and publish it on steam and mobile, 100% will buy both versions of the game.
I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I am definitely considering making a full version of this game. I’ll let you know if I do.
Please do! Looking forward to it
Great game! Love the roguelike elements to it!
Love the fact that you added effects to the balls to make it more interesting, really creative !
This is definitely a clever idea! I just wish there were more mechanics and battles didn't take as long
I really enjoyed the core snooker mechanic! Its this interesting mix of accuracy + angles with basic arithmetic. And then the rewards version is a satisfying flavour to this mechanic as well. I really think you've got something here!
its cool, great, unique mechanic, but when u play it for 10 minute u get some repetitive thing its getting bored but still its a good game
The presentation of this game is really nice! I like the idea a lot, and the gameplay is very unique. It's unfortunately monotonous at times, but the core game here is quite enjoyable. Great work!
Super unique battle system and take on the theme! I do think it might be better if we could choose which balls to use each turn, since I got stuck a few times on a round where the score wasn't possible to make
Loved the idea and the ball physics, but i think that it drags on a bit.
I did also run into a scenario when there was no combination of balls that would hit the score. That in addition with limited shots and the long time to charge up an attack n reach the score did feel a lil frustrating towards the end.
Overall though this concept is really amazing, the core gameplay got me hooked, and I loved the visual style, would defo wanna see this expanded upon.
Loved the idea, had a lot of fun playing this.
Ideas for future improvement:
Overall I really appreciate your feedback, they’re all good points that I will be considering in the future if I expand on this idea.
Really unique game and take on the theme. I love pool and I love number puzzles so this was perfect for me. Cute artwork too, helpful tutorial, the physics felt great which is obviously a huge thing in pool games. It's better than a lot of the cheap console pool games out there. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done!
I like the minigame in an RPG battle, pretty fun but got a little monotonous. Though it was satisfying enough just shooting the balls around that I keep going until I actually lost. Cool style too.
Super fun game! Love how you implemented the math elements. Very cool art style as well!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
The core mechanic here is fun and interesting! It took me a few shots to realize that you want *more* balls in the center but get them to add to a particualr number. I think the "countdown" element felt a little forced for this jam (there's no reason each turn can't be just one target score) but I think the core idea is great, and would be really interested in playing a more fleshed out version! Also the shop requiring you to hit balls using the same mechanic is fun. Unfortunately -- level 2 seems to be bugged, it just displayed "-99/3" and didn't change when i moved balls around.
Thank you for the feedback (I definitely agree that the countdown mechanic ended up feeling a bit forced for this game). The -99/3 thing is actually the mechanic of the black ball where it sets your score to -99 if not in the scoring zone.
