Immaculate oppressive industrial vibes, certainly the highlight of the game! The puzzles felt a lil straight forward (despite me failing to stack boxes properly when streaming the game lol)

Atmosphere certainly carries this one gj ^^

Masking a hitman assassination during the race starting gunshot is such a clever and stylish concept!

I love the music! It definitely adds to the creepy vibe of the game!

Developer

yaaaay thank you lol even making it was stressing me out just listening back to it :P

this was a fun game to play.

The 1st level was pretty good and having each iteration of the player's work not be undone when the timer runs out is clever. The puzzle? or the level design is fairly interesting though a bit confusing at times.

The atmosphere and the overall art style gives an escape room horror vibe, which I thought was very cool. And the sound design does add to it, but that could be improved on.

Dragging and dropping objects can be a bit of an issue but it's not too bad.

And I also liked the decision of not having the timer be on screen but rather as a watch so that was a nice touch in my opinion.

So overall it's a neatly designed game, I liked it.

Developer

Yeah I need to flesh out the level design make sure they're as clear as they can be, others have said the same. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Really well made. I had a lot of fun while playing and reviewing your game. Hope you find it useful!
Developer

Thank you so much for this. So many useful points especially for level 3 I’ll make note of. If I ever decide to work on this more I’ll be sure to reach out again your opinions are very valuable!

the tensions of sounds/music leading up to the bomb exploding was really well done and i always love games with physics! good stuff!

This was super neat! Each failure to escape was an opportunity to learn from and even mechanically use for progression. The eerie atmosphere was great and I thought the music that played on your last seconds was perfect. Not your average escape room game :D

Developer

YES I’m glad you liked it, stressed myself out working on that song listening back to it was stressful lol

Fun puzzle platformer/stress simulator. Crouch jumping ftw. Love having to use your body to activate the door. Good stuff!

Great idea. Little buggy. I could go through some walls and fall down out of a map into a void. But good job

Developer

Yeah I noticed its the case especially on lvl 3 since that one I couldn't really polish in time. Thanks for playing!

Gonna give some criticism which is something im comfortable with only because i genuinely enjoyed the game:

- last puzzle was a tad confusing since theres no indication the final door was open at that point

- Countdown mechanic was a bit forced because you end up using it only for one puzzle, definetely helped in adding tension but once you understand that technicaly you dont lose anything when you die the tension was more from the music then the actual gameplay mechanic

Both problems I think would have been resolved by deciding either to focus on punishing the player more upon death or by adding more puzzles that rely on your death to solve them

Other then that though I liked your game a lot, it was fun it had good consistent vibes, the puzzles were simple but still quite enjoyable, and being able to look at your clock the whole time was a nice touch, It was also quite polished art-wise, Good Job

Thanks so much for the comment!

Yeah level 3 could use some more love a couple of my friends I had try it out thought the same.

You make a good point for the death mechanic. I was kinda caught between maybe leaning on using death more to paint the picture of a dystopian/dark setting (hence the name of the game/sacrificing yourself for the next guy) or have it so each level is beatable under 60 seconds. I’ll make sure to think about this more if I decide to make more levels ty!!!

Not a bad game. Gives a thrill sometimes. Also like how moving objects are used in the gameplay.

Developer

tyty, getting the physics right was annoying but main inspo was from amnesia and half life :)
