How does your game fit the theme?
You spend coins to jump and buy hearts so they count down and you get scared to jump but you have to, to win

Was a bit unclear what to do exactly as I kept getting stuck on the 3rd or so screen.
It kinda felt like a jump-king esque type of game, and I love the intro cutscene!
Nice work :)
goblin friend :*
Fun game to test your movement prediction skills. Some suggestions: I don't think the "perfect landing mechanic" is required, especially at the beginning. It is already difficult enough to jump to the right place. Maybe make the "perfect landing" something that is required for a later level (certain biome or type of platform). I would suggest starting with some more levels with easier jumps so the player learns to match the color of the character with the distance that will be jumped (and gets more invested in your game). Also, it took me a while to find out that the "shop screen" was a "shop screen" and a restart when you are out of coins would be good to have.
thanks for playing! I like the perfect land as inherent risk vs reward of getting max distance but learning to control that momentum. With better level design i would like to explore the ricochet system and back bounces. You can perfect land on your send bounc so you can actually go max distance + extra bounce and still not take damage.
I agree the game has an accessibility problem in its level design tho, I think lots of it could be more clear and I like your suggestion about starting slower to introduce the player to more things. Maybe have tutorial levels and then like you said, add required perfect lands as a difficulty spike. I like deep punish movement systems tho haha
Lovely artstyle, sadly i can't jump on screen 3
Do you mean the shop screen?
CANT JUMP IN SCREEN 3. love it but i have severe skill issue xd
which screen do you mean? the shop screen?
Intro cutscene went hard!
wait till you see the outro cutscene!
The game is great, but I wish the mechanics were explain better, as it was very confusing and I got soft locked several times. Great job otherwise!
Fair assessment. In my head I was really going back and fourth between over explaining everything or allowing for moments of discovery by experimentation…. When I keep working on this I will have to decide one way or another … thanks for playing!!
This took a longer than I'd like to learn the controls but I really enjoyed the difficulty of this - it's really hard! Also really gives me "Jump King" vibes.
For anyone else confused: you hold down space to charge your jump. But you hurt yourself unless you land perfectly. To land perfectly you tap left and right arrow keys JUST as you land.
The art is honestly perfect for the game. I love that silly little goblin face. I'm not sure why I'm a rat and why I'm trying to get to the goblin king - but I assume those were my coins and I want them back.
I audibly went "You $#&%" when on the gap level I walked off the edge and hit the pointy thing. It was hilarious. Definitely going to come back and try to beat this one later.
thanks your your kind and detailed response... and thanks for playing! this is exactly the experience i was hoping to provide: frustrating and challenging but fun and deep and 'master-able' I intend to keep working on it and dialling things in.... esp re the jump mechanics and ricochet. Remember you can bounce the opposite way you jumped and also you can still perfect land after one bounce - the timing window is just tighter!
Awesome! Happy to hear you're going to keep working on it. I look forward to watching it progress :)
> Remember you can bounce the opposite way you jumped and also you can still perfect land after one bounce
Ooo I did not realize that. When I return to this I'll be sure to try it out
Took me a second to figure out the jumps, but once I got into it, I had a great time! loved the intro too!
wait till you see the outro 😮
Il like how you handled the physics, makes for cool puzzles with the jumps
Thanks!!! I had to rush the level design and I would like to rethink the spike mechanics. With that being said, when I had fun just jumping on a flat level I knew the game might be fun
Once i figured out how the game worked it became really fun!
This game is pretty sweet! I really like the feel of the jump, it's a pretty creative way to use it. Good job!
Definitely some cool vibes! I loved the animation at the beginning to make sure people know that jumps cost coins haha. Foddian games are always fun and once I got a feel for the length of the jumps I was cruising! Well done!
Yes, I didn't plan to make a foddian game and then it just came out... thanks for pointing it out haha
Some of my favorite all time games are skill mastery games like Melee, Getting over it, Baby Steps, and N Game way of the Ninja so ..... LOL

I wish I had this much cash and legs this strong. Good game 10/10.
me too!
Interesting idea! It's quite punishing with the jump points and it's easy to get stuck. Ideally needs a way to restart in the game!
I got stuck because i ran out of jumps and didnt know how to refil it, I wish I could of played more, the Music as really good
Great job!
+ Hope to try our game
Nice game, the gameplay is fun once you get the hang of landing properly and the limited jumps allows for some fun puzzling! Great job :D
I like the idea, but the gameplay seems a bit punishing at the start.
And the game should probably auto-restart if you run out of jumps.
Good job in general.
