Looks funny, its interesting realization on theme, also art of magician looks cool. You did a great job!

Submitted(+1)

this was fun and simple but pretty cool take on the theme overall. I like your art style for the characters in game and would like to see this one built out in more detail! great work here though!

Submitted(+1)

Great work! I like the depth you added to this known game, I feel like each special chip was well though-out. As a minor complaint, I really didn't like the sound of the chips when they slide... hehe Regardless, congrats on a great entry!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the special chips, they made each match feel less predictable than a normal Connect 4 game. The wizard theme fits well, and it's a fun twist on a familiar idea. Nice job!

Submitted(+1)

This was a pretty cool idea, it needs a little of balancing tho especially because of the zombie chip lol but otherwise it was enjoyable !

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we did not get time to finish the balancing.

Submitted(+1)

Love the idea, the enemy AI can get rather predictable and I feel the 10 move countdown ends up being rather counterproductive for the whole chip effects gimmick but I can see a super replayable version of this game with a little bit of focus on opponent variety

cool art

Great idea for the theme, and fun to play! Good job!

Submitted(+1)

That was incredible! Absolutely loved the idea and artstyle! (and also the little lines like the McRib one). It was also quite addicting to play. Well done!

Submitted(+2)

That was a really cool idea! I feel like a couple chips are really easy to completely destroy the opponent (zombie my beloved), but it is probably really tough to balance the AI, so... well done guys!

It felt quite smooth and polished, so congratulations for that entry! Good job :D

Really cool idea! I'd love to see the concept get expanded on. Right now it feels way too easy in my opinion, I was able to wipe the floor with my opponents while only using the zombie chip lol. But if you keep working on it I feel like this could be really good :D

I love strategy games!!! At first I thought it was something like Luck to be a Landlord but it's actually something needs more brain. It would be better if there's some feedback on whether I win or lose. I'm also a little bit not sure about how and when ends a game.

Developer

Ah, you need to win 10 rounds in order to get to the end.

Submitted

sorry that i wasn't accurate, I wanted to know that what is the condition of ending a round

Developer(+1)

OH! Yeah no problem! Its connecting 4 chips in a straight line, either horizontal, vertical, or diagonally.

Pretty entertaining game! The art is cool, and the dialogues are really funny! I enjoyed playing it—congrats on such a great submission!

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea, I would have liked it to be harder though

Developer

Yeah, we ran out of time for balancing. It was originally too hard and some last minute changes made it slightly easier than we had wanted.

Submitted(+1)

Really cool concept ! I had a lot of fun playing, trying new powerups is addictive. I could see this get a full release with more content ! Great work !

Submitted(+1)

Could definitly see this beeing expanded with more powerups or abilities! Great concept!

Submitted(+1)

Great little game! I play this game at work with children and it makes me wish I had powerups to make it less monotonous, this was much more fun. nice game and as the music artist of my team, I really appreciate a good song in a game jam game. :) please check out my songs if you have time! Nice work

Developer(+1)

Glad you had fun!

Commander Jersey knocked it out of the park with the audio!

Submitted(+1)

Ahahaha! I don't usually play download only games, but the art and premise of this one really drew me to it! Adding powerups to connect four is a really neat idea! I also thought the dialogue for the wizard and client were really funny! Balance wise, i think the client's moves could have been more strategic. It often left my lines of 3 open. There's so many interesting ways to checkmate the client once you get all the powerups, so it felt too easy to have him ignore my normal sets of 3. Overall, I liked this game a lot! Great work!

Developer

Glad you had fun!
Yeah we ran out of time to finish the balancing, so he just plays while ignoring your moves. If we had more time I would have liked to add in something like the intent system from Slay the Spire.

This game was good!

The music isn’t repetitive and it’s great, helps to keep playing the game until the end. I think my favorite spell is the rock one, helps in all the game, Zombie is good in the early game but it feels weak at the end when you have more spells and also when you open with a Zombie chip, there isn’t much use in that case. The lava/fire ones really help in the late game, destroying rows and columns is really helpful. Water can be good but I didn’t use it much

About the main menu, the resolution option didn’t work and it would be nice to have a button to close the game, I can do Alt+F4 but it would be nice to have that button, also because my screen barely fits a 720p window so the close button is barely visible

I thought this game was endless until I got the win screen haha, it was fun and it’s a nice touch that the enemy can put many chips at the same time, also the little dialogues are funny, nice entry! :)

Silly little game! I like all the different tokens and weird effects. After a while I kinda didn't really know what was happening anymore but it was fun the whole way through.
