This game was a lot of fun. The mechanics are easy to pick up, and I liked that we can explore the house to find extra items instead of just playing cards. I survived all three nights, and on the last one, I threw literally everything I had at the monster. LOL. I really enjoyed the game, and I hope you continue developing it after the jam.
This is great. I love the creepy monsters and the fighting fear as a mechanic works really well with a child player character.
I like how you alternate gameplay, plus artwork and audio are really cozy like it
The game is really fun!
Overall, just a really solid game. I do like the juxtaposition of the cute lil character with the horrific nightmare monstrosities. The turn-based card gameplay is well implemented. Great work.
Nice work! I know the cards had to be limited due to the game jam, but the 'battling fear' theme has so much potential. I'd love to see more cool cards and mechanics exploring that idea in the future.
This is one of the best games I played in the jam. Five stars in every aspect of it. I really liked how the card game is made and finding things is useful for the night. I never liked rpg games, but this one is outstanding. Congratulations.
PD: I forgot to say that the monster is amazing.
Really cool! Bit hard to understand at first but once you to grips it offers a cool twist on slay to spire card style battling. Really enjoyed the exploration, wish I had more time during the day.
Thank you! The twist comes from "Spirit Island"
cute main character!
Really enjoyed this one! The day and night loop creates a great atmosphere, and I loved how exploring and collecting items actually mattered during the card battles. At first i didn't quite understand the combat and had to read the how to play on the page, but that's to be expected from nre card games. The monster designs and overall presentation were fantastic, great job!
Rally awesome game! when i started i did not expect a a card battler! and if i saw that thing in my hallway i would not stick around XD
You can actually see him form time to time showing up in house
Very fun entry, great job! I enjoy the loop a lot.
An improvement would be to make the item selection based on a mouse click, since the current method is a bit fickle and hard to line up .
Great game! We really like the way it plays off of the theme multiple times. The game is a little buggy though, like the rest counter or the items becoming unusable at the right time.
Yes the rest counter got bugged in last final submission unfortunatelly :( You couldn't use the items? I will check on this (i know what cna be the source) but that is case where you used lot of items that have "next card" "next turn" Thanks for the feedback! I will write it down
The actual issue was that we could use the items multiple nights, when that seems like not the intention
The monsters are so scary, good job and making this game guys, it's really amazing!
Amazing game! The creatures looked so cool!!!
Awesome, love the inscryption-style puzzles while not in battle! I wish there was a little more variety to combat, but what's already there is EXTREMELY well done, I found myself actually using my consumable items (a very rare feat) and strategizing a little bit. Awesome game!
I liked it! I did not have much difficulty with the combat, even though I never managed to understand what "Rest" was. Found 12/14 items, but could not understand where to find the final 2
This one was really well polished! I like how you guys interpreted the countdown theme, and all of the mechanics seemed interesting. My only critique would be that there seemed to only be a few cards you could play, but it's a jam entry after all. Nicely done!
"So how much implementations of the countdown theme do you want?"
"Yes."
Jokes aside, it's a really well-made game. Both phases of gameplay feel polished. Love the monster designs!
Yes exactly, but this is beacuse first comment, when we dropped "idea and description" of our game was "does it fit theme" ... :
Really good! I'm not a card battle player but this game hooked me a lot! Are there other games of this genre that combine finding cards around and then using them in the battle? I liked it so much! Congrats
To be honest I don't know! But this was our original idea :) I don't want to say original as "innovative" but we have never seen this, maybe it exists, maybe not, we didn't research, we just go all in :D
