Really great job for a first game, the whole things really tidy and I had no real bugs or anything. I think the player projectile speed could be a bit faster feels a little weird to shoot in the direction of movement and almost be able to keep pace with it. I also found the big square shot moved a little too quickly or wasn’t telegraphed to dodge consistently. Really solid though, and impressive to have also fit in a boss fight!

Good game,  I liked it. One thing I probably not saw, but do you have power ups or heals in the game? Or is this exactly part of the theme of this jam: counting down of the battery?

Developer

There are shops that spawn around, you heal from killing enemies

Good Honse 4 reference

Cool game, I enjoyed playing it. Fast enemies but not so fast that I can´t run away from them and different types of enemies, I like that. Even a tutorial and credits, so you´ve made a cool and useable menu, really good for the first game. The audio although fits. You can really be proud of you to have done that without experience in doing so :3

Go on programming, really a good work.

I love the toaster. I hoped that it was a bit more polished, fighting enemies felt a bit clunky. Still nice entry!

yeah this was my first time ever programming and spriting for a game so even if it is clunky I am really proud of how it turnt out

Great job!  Sometimes it's hard to judge the outcome of a game because you don't know how experienced and how many people made it.

The game was good, there was a bit lag maybe due to my bad browser but it's fun and I can see a possibility of this getting a good recognition in this game jam ! I'd love if you play our game too ! Thanks

Can really see and feel the "enter the gungeon" inspiration, so much so I kept trying to use the same controls in parts lol. Very competent recreation honestly. I kinda suck at it and died to the boss twice in the first level lol.

A couple of complaints are that I know there is a shop, because on my first run it was the second room, I attempted 3 runs after dying there and never saw it again, but I had lots of screws! Having them be slightly more common would be good, or some idea of where it has spawned maybe.

Second issue was that the dodge roll moved where I was aiming the mouse and not my movement, so I'd often dodge towards attacks and enemies.

Overall though, the sprite work is really nice, the audio feels well implimented and the boss was really cool. A little rebalancing could go a long way! Great work all around!

There’s always three shops in the level, they always spawn off of the main path and are three rooms out, any multi door room will lead to a shop. I had planned to add movement direction based dashing as a setting but ultimately ran out of time before getting to around to it.

Ah I'm just an idiot lmao, clearly picked the worst path every time

I honestly didn't realize I would be able to buy upgrades and I smiled, never know what you'll be fed in a game jam. A very cute game, and I do find myself wanting to complete it!

Wow this game is so cool, whoever made it must be a handsome feller!
