I really like the airport signage throughout the game. The interactions were simple to learn, though I assumed mouse scroll would rotate so for a bit I thought there was no rotate. I couldn’t help myself cutting up stuff but it would have been very nice to regret one step at a time rather than needing full reset. It would also have been good narrative to have a some small thing happening when you’ve completed each level. Especially with regards to what got cut and trashed.

Thank you very much for honest and thoughtful feedback.
This is definitely something I'll keep in mind going forward (with this project or next one).

Incredibly well made for a four day project!! Counting down to fit the weight limit is a great take on the theme, and I like the inventory management puzzle design.

I love cozy games like these, reminds me of a little to the left. I also loved the art its so nice

This game is very fun to play! Nice work! The idea of arranging items by their weight is very interesting, and it reminded me of packing my luggage before a flight. By the way, the plant pot should have been thrown away, but I ended up having to throw away the violin every time. RIP violin.

This is really good!

Art is super clean and the music is super chilled and vibey.

The gameplay is super fun and I could honestly see myself losing hours playing this game if more stages were made! The controls are intuitive and the whole gimmick is super fun and easy to pick up.

My only critique is to add an undo button for the actions, but I personally didn't mind restarting the level because the game is still super fun to try and wrap your head around. I could start the same level like 20 times and my first 5 moves wouldn't be the same, which is awesome IMO

10/10, great job :D

Oh my god. This is genius. This is one of the best games I've played in this jam! The vibes are so cozy and reminiscent of games like Tiny Bookshop. I can't believe you made this in 4 days - the polish, the subtle animation on the luggage, the funny voice lines when you delete something. Incredible incredible work!

Neat little idea.

Really enjoyed it! Simple concept but well implemented and kept me going to the end

This game gave me Resident Evil inventory management vibes in all the best ways! I think we can all relate to the stress of trying to get luggage through the airport, and you've somehow made that fun.

The game plays really well, and it's super smooth with the music and the great artwork. Really brilliant little game!

Great work!

Super fun game and beautifully made! I started calculating the density of each item to see if they should belong in the backpack or the luggage. This has been really relaxing.

A few suggestions I have is to allow the player to cancel actions (discarding/separating) with right click instead of esc. An undo button would be very helpful too considering that actions are a limited resource. Allowing players to swap the item they are holding with the item on a grid provided that there is only one pair of overlapping items would be a nice quality-of-life feature to have as well. And it took me a second to figure out that precious items that cannot be discarded can't be moved as well.

All in all, very impressive game! If you do plan on expanding it, there could be lots of potential for different types of items such as ones that can only be in hand-carry and ones that must be in the luggage.

Developer

Thank you a lot for playing and for all the suggestions!

Yeah, cancelling actions can seem a bit awkward at times and it begs for undo button as well. It's funny, because those quality of life features that you mentioned were all on my list of things to "potentially implement", but I was so extremely tired on the last day of the jam, that I just decided to leave it as it is.

Also, items that have to be in hand-carry were originally implemented and were supposed to be in the second to last level (that's why in that particular level there are no new mechanics), but it was also scrapped due to time and exhaustion :D

RIP Violins. I couldn’t figure out how to keep them so they just went in the bin. Otherwise I had a lot of fun with this. I love inventory management games that have real shapes for different items. The game felt pretty polished but at times it was hard to tell the shape or size of the item I was holding.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing.

Yup, the "level design" I found in the end to be very lack-luster. The violin was supposed to be a funny joke, but also a gameplay element, but the levels weren't designed around it really. So it just gets discarded every time, since it's so bulky.

The readability is another issue, true. Those white borders were not enough to indicate shapes when everything is so busy and crowded.

Thank you for the feedback :)

awesome game! loved everything about it

super well done! its basically the resident evil inventory system made into a puzzle game, and with the added mechanics as it goes in works really well! there is a softlock i found where if you're holding an item and press restart itll keep you holding the item making it impossible to put back down, but other than that this was very well executed!

Developer

Some last-minute bugfixes were about softlocking when trash/split icons were being "held" and restart was clicked, but I forgot you can do the same thing with items too...

Oh well :D Thanks for playing and all the kind words!

Amazing stuff, probably my favorite game of the jam so far. Congrats!!

Music was relaxing. Concept was cute. Artstyle was very well drawn and cohesive. I enjoyed it! I did not feel frustrated. Relaxing gameplay where you don't have to think hard to understand the rules. UI was intuitive. Great work!

This one kept me hooked for quite a while...  Breaking my Laptop into pieces to go on an vacation wasnt on my bucket list for this jam but i enjoyed every second of it! Great art and humor!

The common problem of not over exceeding the weight limit… a really enjoyable experience (unlike the real life experience…)

I really like the idea!!!

It reminds me a lot of Backpack Battles and the hours I spent optimizing the space on my ship in Dredge.
I also really like the fact that you can split items, which can lead to some really funny situations.

Developer

Dredge was a huge inspiration, for sure!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Really cool take on the theme, and lovely clean visuals. I fully laughed at the smashed laptop bit. Nice work!

Love the vibe and the music. Kinda ironic that the object to destroy for me was always the violin :'). Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words.

Yeah, in the end levels weren't really designed around the violin (too big), so instead of being a puzzle element in this thing it just gets discarded. Not intentional, but that's what I get from not enough playtesting :)
