It was fun to understand and explore mechanics. Good puzzle game!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I’m not sure why I accidentally gravitate towards puzzle games, but this one has definitely left me wanting to design more levels

Very interesting puzzle mechanic. And I also like "Baba is you" aesthetics.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Hope you liked it.

Haha, yeah I feel like Baba has cornered the bubble font market. I didn’t intend for it to be a similar aesthetic, but definitely landed in that area.

Appreciate you playing the game!

really cool! it was wonderful to learn the mechanics of the game bit by bit as i was experimenting. Definitely needs more levels like tutorial ones and tricky ones, but it's a basic but compelling enough mechanic that i enjoyed it all the way through. Great work!

Developer

100%! I originally wanted 10 levels to ramp into things and I’m really sure there are some tricky situations you can force people into with this mechanic. Will likely do a jam follow up that has that.

Thanks so much for playing! Still thinking about how cool your game is 😂🙌🏻

Cool game! I don’t play puzzle games very much, so I wasn’t able to figure out the mechanics behind what made the numbers stick together and move seperately. I think the audio could use a little bit of variety (pitching up or down the move sound a few cents randomly would be nice).

Really impressive for the amount of time you had though!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The numbers stick based on if they are adjacent to the cursor. I’ve added a gif to the screenshots that I hope will help understand it a bit better.

Definitely with you on the audio. It was the last thing I added in the time I had and immediately wanted to do more to it for the same reasons you said. More time would have had my first attempt at creating a track, so might be a good thing I didn’t get to that point ;p

Also really sad that I only have a mac. I would have loved to have played your game. The screenshots and video look totally sick! Great job on your submission to the jam :D

Submitted

Thanks! It would have been nice to make a Mac build, but we overlooked that during the all nighter we pulled, haha.

Developer

Oh I getcha! There are too many things to do and not enough time. Hope it goes well!

Wow, such an interesting concept! Creative take on the countdown theme, I figured if I could just separate all the digits, it’s easier to solve that way. Also in the end I waited for something grand to happen :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I had really limited time this jam, so the simple idea of ordering numbers popped into my head. Then making them stick brought in a bit of the emergent fun. Was a lot of fun to make.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Haha, I just said in another comment, but I really wish I had time to make a little Easter egg for after the fireworks. With how slow they go it definitely needs a payoff if you watch until the end 😂 first addition in the post jam version for sure!

The concept is really interesting, but for me as a non-puzzle gamer the initial difficulty was a bit much. I wish there were more levels ramping up the difficulty. Maybe at first you only need to sort 1-3, then 1-4 and so forth. To get some early easy wins.

Hey! Thanks for playing 🙌🏻 I really enjoyed your game.

Definitely feel you on the ramp up. I only had 8 hours across the jam and even though that was next on my list, I just didn’t manage to make it before I needed to submit.

Will make an updated version once the jam is over that adds some ramp up. I was thinking of making it so that it went from 1->0 all the way up to 10->0. I think there is a bunch of room in this space to play around with puzzle design.

I love how slow the ending fireworks are xD Cute little puzzler, good job!

Developer

It feels rewarding and a little underwhelming all at the same time 😂 congrats on beating the game!

I really wish I had time to add an Easter egg at the end of the fireworks for anyone that stuck around.

super clever idea! took me a sec to figure it out but really enjoyed it once it clicked.

Developer(+1)

Woo! Thanks so much for saying that. Means a lot given your game shows you know your stuff.

Like I mentioned in another comment, I’d like to make it a 10 level puzzle that ramps up a bit to avoid some of the on-boarding woes.

Glad you liked it!

Really excellent work - perfectly scoped to be executed very skillfully, and perfectly scoped for a game jam playing experience too. Cannot fault it.

Developer

Thanks! Means a lot :D

really interesting puzzle concept! i had to restart more times than i’d like to admit but it was super fun!

Developer(+2)

Appreciate it! It was nice that there was some emergent complexity from something that started out as a simple implementation. Glad you enjoyed!
