really fun idea, i love the fat son
i wish there were more dishes, or the cooking were more complicated. It really incorporates the countdown well!
Animations with the son were really funny, fun gameplay loop its probably the longest I've played a game out of the 35 I've rated so far! Also I found the hidden food! Do the crowns do anything in this build, I couldn't see if I was supposed to do anything with them?, I thought its when the game ended until I went over 100
That's awesome that you found the easter egg! The main goal of the game is to gather these 100 crowns to pay for your son's tuition! That's your "countdown"
Ah my bad! It might be cool to have it show as a progress bar to tuition or some kind of check list strike through then you could add stretch goals for continuing to play that keep with the medieval theme like "Pay for sons X" etc that add as you complete them
The game is great. The only problem: it's hard to click on the guests, you have to get into a certain pose to click and serve the dish. Still, the graphics, audio design, everything is at its best. There is a story, even Easter eggs.
The serving dishes is done by interacting with tables, not the guests. Yeah, that wasn’t communicated well enough. We have the “highlight” effect for interactibles in the kitchen, could have re-use that here maybe. Valid point, thanks!
Hey, that was super fun to play! It's incredible what You managed to make in such short time, the atmosphere feels very real, and the gameplay is simple but strategic, having to strategize when to clean, when to serve and when to recover your stamina was a challenge! Fantastic experience, thank you :)
That was the plan to make a little bit of mess during rush time in the noon. Thanks!
The art of the son getting drunk and devouring an entire chicken were hilarious. I think the gameplay could benefit from having just a bit more risk involved, as I never really felt all that stressed by the rather generous timer. I also did find the secret!
Very Cozy vibes good job
Combination of 2d characters and 3d world is cute choice
Very cozy game, love the atmosphere.
i really love the art and the general idea for the game but i do wish it was a little more engaging than slowly walking place to place and holding E. i think if y'all were to continue working on this, it would be fun if you could throw meals around or something just so there's a little less downtime. good job overall though!
There’s a lot of ideas we had in mind to make it more fun, but we didn’t thought of throwing things :) As for walking - you can sprint with SHIFT. Thanks for playing!
The art and vibe of the game is great! Great job!
The art is really cool! I thought I killed my son for a second there, turns out I just got him drunk lmao
Finally, a game that captures the true father-son bonding experience: cracking open a cold one with the boys (the boys = your son). 10/10 would drink digital beer with my digital child again. Therapy is expensive, this is free. 2137
Impressive
It was easy to understand and fun. Well done!
the art of the son getting drunk on beer and wolfing down some chicken absolutely killed me, lots of fun
Loved it! Everything was great
I got distracted from the gameplay and just drank loads of beer with my son
I call that great parenting!
just don’t quote me on that.
I don't think this was your intention but this could be a great horror game.
The absence of music during the daytime section made me feel very uncomfortable. Probably because I am scared of 2D Sprites that always look towards the player xD
I got really stressed whenever time ran out because I was afraid I'd get jumpscared or something :O
Besides that your game is well polished :D
The gameplay loop works well. I just don't see what the stamina is for. I was able to fulfill all tasks without having to eat with my son. (I only had to on the first day and when I missed a customer to discard their menu)
P.S.: I liked the secret cake
Thanks, we aimed for a chill game, hence the soothing music at night. We thought of adding some daytime music but didn’t had time D;\
With low stamina you’re prevented from running and get a bit slower. There’s no real game over screen so even when customers leave you can still recover.
Fun and simple cooking game. I liked it!
My damn son should start taking some responsibility and work too !! Can't even handle a goddamn beer.
FR good game, I like restaurant simulators
