That style and music gives me so chill vibe. Nice work!
Loving the art style and here for the vibes, the narrative focus is really refreshing
This was so fun! I especially loved the color palette and the sound effects (specifically the voices, although I found Willow's a little grating for some reason). The concept of the game is so clever, and I think it represents that limbo of working "odd jobs" like drivers and couriers really well. I will second someone else's comment about how the dialogue could've benefited from having to be double clicked as well, since I accidentally clicked on a few while progressing the conversation. Overall, really amazing game, and I wish Coal and Lily all the happiness!
Thank you!
I'm sure Coal and Lily will be happy together :)
Reminds me of Easy Delivery Co. which has a similar vibe and cat people too, though this game's gameplay is pretty different. It's creative and I love the aesthetic. Double clicking entries was a bit weird, but nice game :)
Thanks :)
Yup, I took inspiration with some visuals from it.
Really love the story elements! I liked how there's sort of this Undertale style of gameplay, where you're deducing what action to take (what to say) for each new person. It gives a bit of strategy and some reasoning which is great! At first, I didn't know you had to double click the menus on the computer, maybe something small to clear that up (Or maybe I missed it)? I think the dialogue options were also a little hard to select, maybe because the hitboxes were small? But also the differentiation between highlighted and non-highlighted options was pretty small, so maybe making selected options more distinct would help too. I also think there should be one more click to seek to the next dialogue before being given your options. I would accidentally click trying to seek to the next dialogue, but would instead select one of my dialogue options. Having an additional click before my options would help! Also wasn't too sure how the ratings and money played into the game, but not a big issue since the core game loop is clear.
Otherwise, really love the aesthetic, the game loop was fun, and the game is very charming and fun! One of my favorite entries so far! Congrats on making such a good experience!
Thank you for such a detailed review, I'm glad you liked it!
I think I'll make an updated version of the game after the voting is over.
By the way, ratings don't make sense, because I didn't connect them with dialogue choicesAnd I didn't added anything to spend your money. This game is such an amazing vibe, easily the most creative take on the theme I've seen! I hope and pray that this gets more attention, because it's genuinely really nice.
Thank you so much!
Glad to hear it from a dev of such a cool game 😄
Cool art style! I had a hard time playing cause the camera sensitivity was pretty high. The graphics on the computer were great.
Sure, I only noticed this after the jam ended :(
It's probably an export version problem, when I tested the game, the sensitivity was fine. I probably should've add settings for it.
Nice ambient vibes and art. It would've been nice if there were onscreen indicators for the button you had to press, and maybe a crosshair to make choosing dialogue options easier.
The characters all felt like one person that's trying to tell me the same thing. So the story wasn't my cup of tea. Otherwise a neat idea.
I spawn in the room, try to interact with the computer, the camera zooms in but I can't interact with anything :(
Sadly :(
Have you tried to double click?
Ok, that worked. Might be a good idea to write a quick summary on how to interact because it's not immediately obvious.
Very cute little story. The ambiance is great, the music fits, characters are cute and it's well written. I was expecting some game to it though, and unfortunately there isn't any. The story itself was very good though!
I appreciate it!
Ye, sure. I wanted to add more interactive elements but I spent too much time polishing other things.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback!
