How does your game fit the theme?
The robot has a constantly depleting battery, like a countdown before shutdown. The game revolves around trying to extend the life of your battery for as long as possible.

The music is pretty and this was a cool creative concept. some of the timers felt like they went a bit too fast but overall still fun

I really like the idea of the game and the logs were amusing. I was not sure at first but clicking a bit helped. Im not sure how to beat/ assess the risk, would I only focus on jobs fitting my profile and refuse all jobs that dont

I felt a bit anxious playing this one. I think an interactive tutorial would really help with that. Apart from that, I think you are asking a lot of the player cognitively. Tracking battery level, job type, risk percentage, time to complete, and the countdown before a job disappears, then also checking the log to see what happened on a job, it's just a lot to juggle at once. I would try slowing the pace down a bit, maybe by extending the job timers so there's more room to actually notice and process everything ? you might find a better way to handle it though, that's just my first instinct.

I know there's a pause button, but it felt kind of immersion breaking most of the time, especially since it stops the animation and music xD The soundtrack reminded me alot of OSRS for some reason which I love. Great game!

The graphics and art style reminds me so much of the old PC games I used to play as a kid! Fun concept and premise for the game jam!

Thank you so much for playing! I wanted to see if I could replicate that old glossy UI style (Web 2.0?) and I think I did a solid job! I wanted the game to look just the right amount of cheesy while still being nice to look at.
If you like the look of old PC games, you should consider taking a look at one of my previous games: Destroy Kaboom
It's based on old boomer shooters like Doom and it's visual style is supposed to replicate the look of Retro CGI / Pre-Rendered graphics

What a fun little game! I love the graphics style, and writing is pretty fun! I wish there was a little more though, because I think I was able to maintain my work-life balance endlessly. Awesome that there's music, and the oddness is very entertaining!

Thank you so much for playing! I'm definitely updating this game to be more difficult after the jam is over. While developing, I thought the game was too hard, so I undertuned some of the parameters. Now I feel that it's way too easy to get through the day. Thank you for the feedback, nonetheless!

Fun little game, wish there was a bit more to do, but it was pretty good overall! Good luck!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Just curious, would you have any suggestions for adding things to do? I'm considering polishing the game after this Jam is over and I can consider whatever you have in mind.

It took me a minute to get it, but you can start by just clicking buttons and then I can see the strategy.   I love the utterly bizarre attachments.
My only criticism is that the flavor text seemed really interesting but the font was small and I didn't want to be distracted during time pressure!    Overall like the surreal nature of this one

Developer

Thank you so much! The bizarre logs were also my favorite part. I kept having to screenshot the game while testing. In the future, I want to add a feature to export the logs as a txt file so you can read them on your own.
