This was simple and fun, nice job
Thanks for playing our game!
I like how simple the premise of the game is, the visuals and the traps make the experience quite immersive, the challenges pose a decent challenge as well, it's pretty fun!
Thank you!
I really liked the visuals and enjoy time challenges, very nice! I think there should be a bit more feedback when getting hit because sometimes it's hard to tell, but I really did enjoy it.
Thanks for playing! We didnt want to over-do it on the hit effects, since that could startle the player, but perhaps we overcorrected there and made it too subtle.
Cool Indiana Jones like game!
Thank you!
The character sounds like a minecraft villager when he gets hurt
I think it was labeled as "goblin grunt"? One of those audio assets that we put in as placeholder and ended up not replacing due to other priorities 😅
It's a fun platformer! I got to the test level and I tried out the high speed mechanic and it actually feels pretty satisfying to chain rolls and high jumps and dashing together. Though I wish you implemented it somehow in a puzzle, since it feels quite nice to do those mechanics! One nitpick on the controls is that the dashing sometimes doesn't register correctly. Trying to do shift + space at the same time in the air sometimes gets ignored and I lose momentum?
I think you're responding to the wrong game, we don't have a test level or the mechanics you mention like rolling or dashing
Yes, you're right; I tried your game and liked it.
I like it :D The levels were well designed. Bit confusing the navigate at first. Maybe add in a mini map of what rooms you traveled through so players don't get turned around :)
Thank you!
We had the idea to add ancient emergency exit signs, to lead the player to the exit, but ended up not having time for it.
Very nice, also has potential to become some parkour roguelike
Thank you for playing!
I hadn't considered a roguelike angle for it, but it could be interesting indeed. Not sure if we have enough mechanics for it as is but that could always be expanded of course
Really cool game with great art. My only comment would be to potentially add a relic or something to restore time on the level to reward exploration a bit more, otherwise the game is great. I played through all 3 levels and had blast!
Great suggestion! That would've helped with balancing out the timer for the level as well. I wish we'd thought of that!
Really liked to games visuals and the levels were well designed too. I did start using my health as a resource to get my times down haha.
Thank you! And it is a valid strategy :D
wow really impressive art and level design for a 4 day jam. nice work!
Thank you!
It was the first time we used the full 4 days for GMTK game jam and we sure needed all that time to be able to finish this project
Artwork is beyond everything else. great job. cannot imagine how much time the artwork took. Great job
Thanks a lot!
Modelling all the assets took around 2,5-3 days of 12 hours each. Then on the final day I could jump in on other tasks like level design. It was quite a rush!
How I feel after getting burned, cutted by giant axes and smashed from giant rocks.
Anyway, it's a well made game. The control are responsive and the game isn't laggy at all. Good job.
Thanks for the kind words!
Great game, I felt just like Indiana Jones! I really loved the audio and visuals, well done.
That's the vibe we were going for, thanks for the kind words!
Nice game, pretty polished too but I think the sensitivity is a bit to high. great game tho. Could you also rate mine?
Thank you!
You can change camera sensitivity with the slider in the options menu (press P to open the menu)
this is sooo polish and nice looking game.. i wish my running game looks 1/10 like yours :D
level 1 score 130 time 00:16.3
level 2 score 180 time 00:13.2
level 3 score 120 time 00:33.6
Thanks! Judging by the screenshots, your game doesn't look bad at all, it has a purposeful art style. Will try it out when I get to my PC again :)
Love the game.
Thanks for playing and reviewing!
We had planned to make some sort of total score that tallied up time + gold. So that a fast run including all gold would be better than just a fast run ignoring all gold. But we weren't able to get that system in unfortunately.
