How does your game fit the theme?
Escape the dungeon as a bird who is cursed with the curse of Untimely Transformations. This causes you to randomly transform into a different creature, but thankfully, you have your handy countdown watch to keep track of when you'll change.

The music is amazing! And the art style is great too. But the ability button being randomized felt very annoying and didn't add to the challenge in a meaningful way. Also the bossfight felt pretty unfair and really hard because only a few modes were actually useful.

Thank you for the feedback! I tried to balance the boss fight, where you'd have to spend some time trying to evade the wizard and some time actually attacking him. I'm sorry it didn't feel balanced!

Really cool graphics and music!

This was fun! I liked figuring out what all the abilities were as I went (though, what was the point of the flowerpot…? I never quite understood that one). The key switching, though, I wasn’t sure about. It added some extra challenge, I suppose, but more the frustrating kind of challenge, rather than the fun kind. I think the game would’ve still worked fine without it. The level design was solid overall, though some of the later levels devolved into waiting around for the right transformation - they seemed to be on level-determined cycles rather than being randomly selected, luckily. Nice work overall!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it a lot. I agree with you on the key switching, we'll definitely update that after the jam. (Also, the flowerpot is invincible to spikes, which makes it helpful when you fight the wizard in the final level.)

Very creative, sorta reminds me of Animal Well. Figuring out how to use each creature’s abilities was enjoyable. The narrative was humorous. Art style is nice and audio is good. Nice job!

Thank you for playing our game!

Amazing Game! The keys switching randomly took some getting used to, but didn't take away from the experience too much. Had a very good time playing this one.

Thank you!!

Very Cool Concept!  I wasn't a huge fan of the changing of the keys for the actions, but it's also a neat concept!

awesome game, really loved the art and gameplay concept

What a neat concept!

Really cool graphics and music! I liked the idea a lot and the character's movesets were pretty fun (though I was kind of confused on what role the flower played). I think the keyswitching is good in concept, but I think having it be truly random is a bit disorienting because you have to spend so much attention on the keyboard. I got stuck on the final boss because I figured you had to do something with the boxes with the frog but since you only had 2 seconds on the frog I kept dying. But overall very cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing it! I agree, the key switching is rather disorienting. By the way, the wizard is really just a classic boss where you jump on top of him.

Very funny narrative and neat presentation. The changing key at each transformation was a bit much for me. I ended up getting stuck on the leve lwhere you need to bring down the cube with frog but the cube always ended up stuck in the hole.
My favourite transformation is the plant in a pot x)

Yeah I agree, I think memorizing the keys would allow you to get "better" at the game which is always satisfying.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely have to update the keys after the jam.

I was on a bépo keyboard, I needed to look at a layer to check where were the key, the countdown is quite quick (expected) so it became impossible for me to really play the game.

However, art, style and idea are really there. Nice job on them.

Developer

I didn't even think about different keyboard layouts!! Thank you for bringing that up.

Insane music!!

It's fun using different transformations on a timer to get through the dungeon. I also really like the art and animations! Great work!

Thank you!

This gq;e needs to support other keyboqrd dispositions, but the concept is amazing and the lore very good.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game and the feedback! What kind of dispositions were you thinking of?

AZERTY and QWERTZ are the most common. the idea is just not to have to find out what real key corresponds to what's indicated on the screen

Developer

Okay. Thank you!
