I love the art style on this game! The vibrancy matches very well with that green and purple. I had a good time overall playing, but I agree with Itzamn's feedback on the music.
Good job on making everything yourself, it's quite an achievement ! The axolotl is cute :)
My only tip would be to try to balance a bit more the high and low frequencies on the song, as everything is pretty high in register. You can simply try to play lower notes with the synth doing the chords, or have a lower percussive line sound, or if you can boost the lows on some tracks. This way the some sounds like the claps and melody would hit more :)
The song is quite catchy though and the energy fits the game well, good job on that
And as I said earlier doing everything yourself makes it so much harder so good job !
Thank you for the feedback, the music is something I definitely want to improve on.
Can be challenging, but fun. Great work!
Movement was very hard tbh, but otherwise very cute game, if it had better movement I would play for longer! still, very fun, 3.8/5 stars!
Thanks for the criticism! I will keep the difficulty in mind for my next games.
The game is well made and fun, the gravity is the one thing that bothers me, but overall it's pretty cool
Thanks! The gravity was hard for me to tune but in future games i will try to do better
Sweet, who doesn't love jumping axolotls? The game seems way too fast for me, but maybe I'm just getting old. Camera movement could also use some work, usually, you don't want your camera y position to follow your character during jumps in a platformer, at least not as closely. Colored block tutorial in the beginning scared me a little that I would have to remember everything, but thankfully, it became pretty apparent during the playthrough. All in all, not a bad start, keep it up!
Understood, i will work on making the camera controllers better for my future games!
