What an interesting concept!mIt would have been great if progress depended on the size of the number (spaces that were too narrow to pass through until a minimum number was reached). Great game!
I quite liked this game! I really enjoyed the annoyed eyes on the main character and his fish friends, reminded me of the kind of nonsense you'd see on the SNES, like Stunt Race FX. Only issue is I was hoping there would be more things done with the number - feels like it doesn't change enough to be a super impactful mechanic.
Yeah, I had a lot of ideas for this game that definitely weren't game jam possible, and it made my submission less cohesive than I would've hoped, especially mechanically. I think I'm going to try and expand this into a full game after the jam.

I can't get to jump on the fountain and on top of the dirt, I'm too short and can't reach it, am I missing something? :(
Did you try holding the jump button?
I was really excited with this jam to see how people would take the theme differently and this was definitely not one I was thinking of. I like the idea of decreasing a number but it's also your character and dictates how tall you are. The inclusion of the fish is very funny. Nice job!
