very fun! I really like the movement and the mechanic is quite creative. I beat it with 99 deaths :)

wow, insane on every front! I think the time left needs a larger visual indicator and also the camera on level 14 is too high and I can't see the floor

YOU MADE THIS IN 4 DAYS???? INSANE!!!!!!!!! I just now got the time to check out your game, this is absolutely crazy! great work!!!

Submitted(+3)

Absolute masterpiece, I would have liked seing more !  Great art and audio, cool story, and a very fun and inventive gameplay !

I like this take of the theme! It's similar to one game I've played before in this jam BUT the difference is the execution and polish. Really amazing art, wonderful music, and fantastic levels.

Glad you liked our game! When we made the game, we had no idea there were others with the same main mechanic, but later, upon finishing, we found like 2 games, i believe one is in gmtk 2026, and one in last years gmtk, with the hourglass mechanic. It is inevitable when there are like 10.5k games per gmtk but it was still pretty interesting to see that others had the same idea.

the movement mechanic is just so cool and smart, i really love it alongside the art and the level design

Thank you very much! We spent a lot of time on level design as well as the art.

Love the art and fun game! Should be way higher on the number of ratings.

Thank you so much!

An elegant mechanic, put to good use. Very well done!

Wow this was good! Very polished and well designed! Super creative as well!

Submitted(+4)

This was a super polished experience! Great work (˶ᵔᗜᵔ˶)ノ゙

Really cool concept, well executed

Wow, what a wonderfully polished gem of an entry :) Very challenging, but the movement implementation and art/audio design kept me hooked and retrying through the difficulty. Way too much content for me to get through without getting addicted, so saving to play more after the jam has wrapped! Great job!

Thank you so much!! We’re really glad you enjoyed it. The difficulty was one of our concerns, but I’m glad you found it fun nonetheless!

Really enjoyed this one. The OST and level design both stand out immensely. "Chronotower" by fwugneo immediately gave me "The Third Sanctuary" vibes. All the levels manage to stand out whilst also being fun and challenging. The gameplay never got overly frustrating despite remaining challenging. All the game mechanics feel like they were used to their absolute maximum. The only exception would be the cannon's, which I genuinely don't think can kill the player. I assume they only hurt you if you're standing on the ground? But not once did I die to a cannon in the whole playthrough.

Took me about 30 minutes to complete and was an absolute blast.

Art person here, i'm glad you liked our game! The cannons are kinda unintuitive, they remove the total amount of sand from the player so they have to jump faster, I believe the player starts with 6 seconds split between the two halves and each shot removes 1 second worth of sand. Sand cap is restored upon entering a checkpoint (perhaps for the first time?) or respawning. To be honest, it would have been better if they dealt knockback but on some levels that was deemed too punishing and we didn't end up implementing it.

(+1)

Yeah. Programming person here, specifically, the cannons deal 0.8 seconds of damage. Originally, I set them to 1.5 seconds but someone nerfed them and I didn't realize (oh well). Also, yeah, it would've been awesome if they specifically did knockback, but it would've required reworking too much for the time we had left.

haha you clocked me ;D chronotower is most definitely inspired by the third sanctuary, as well as running sky from deltarune. huge toby fox fanboy here. anyway, im glad you liked the game and that the ost was a stand out for u!!!!

Really cool game.  Love the sand mechanic, where you're forced to flip over every few seconds.

Submitted(+4)

Very cool!

I like a lot the vibe of the game! The colors, background and game feel in general. Nice work!

This is a brilliant idea executed and explored well! So much fun! A little unforgiving, especially with the timer running in the air, but still highly playable. This is a really impressive accomplishment , Mark's gonna have a field day with this one!

Thank you for the kind words! It took us a while to balance the difficulty in this game and ultimately decided that the timer would run in the air but not during the flipping animation. Otherwise, bunny hopping would be too powerful and level 8 would be less impactful of a challenge. The feedback is greatly appreciated for tuning our game after the Game Jam and we appreciate your confidence in Mark noticing our little game!

Very polished submission for a game jam! The little polish here and there adds so much to the experience. Feels like a complete game already. Great job!

Thank you so much for playing our game! Focusing on polish has always been something I've pushed for so it's really great to see it pay off!

This was so cool and cute! The mechanic is very creative and one of the best integrated games to the theme. Nothing negative to say except that I felt like some obstacle areas were a bit too harsh, like level 3's area where the cutters re just low enough for you to jump lightly, and the timer is a bit too short for the jump. But nonetheless, amazing and polished game!

I'm so glad that you like our game! I was the one to make that level. The idea of that mechanic was to have the player put all the sand on one side so when you jump on the moving platform you would have just enough time to get through. Its purpose was to accentuate the hourglass's core sand mechanic. I'm grateful for the feedback and do agree that I could've made that part more apparent and lenient.

Ok don't wanna dilly dally more than I have to, saving to collection to play it later! No feedback to add, this is one of the best integrations of the theme I've seen today.

Glad you liked it! I might have to try that saving to play later strategy. Thank you for your feedback (or lack there of lol)!
