Cute art style, but I can't seem to get this to work.

Really enjoy the art style of the game! The jump function I had a little trouble navigating from the start but as I played more it got easier. I struggled a little bit in the beginning of the game with the vine mechanic and had to restart the game to get it to work. But after that it was great! Keep up the good work!

I love the mechanics for this game!!I think that the concept is really good! On the other hand when playing the game, there were a number of times where I got stuck in the level due to the functionality of the bamboo. It became hard to progress through the level because it was difficult to water the bamboo without it getting to high or getting stuck in between them.

The game holds itself really well! the use of the tutorial inside the level is very helpful and the controls are perfectly easy to understand. I think the aesthetic that you are aiming for has a clear vision even though not much of it is added.

I found the jumping mechanics and the bamboo platforms to be rather difficult. Having to land perfectly on the bamboo was annoying and had to reset the save a lot of times (which was really helpful to not get softlocked). I would make the collider of the bamboo a little bit bigger. Not the asset, but the collider. Having a little bit of Coyote Time in platformers for me is a must. Especially when you have such a quick character movement. I won't recommend making the bamboo asset any bigger because bamboos are thin but I love the idea of using them as platforms.

I had no problems with the vines, but I had some issues with the throwing mechanic when aiming high. The seed started to fall really quick, so I had to compensate most of the time. This might be intended on the design. I would suggest maybe using different throwing speeds and weights for the different seeds? Maybe you can create levels where the bamboo plant (being heavier because it's usually aimed at the floor) has to be thrown over a wall. Vines usually go at the top so maybe they don't have much of a curve when throwing them. Otherwise, I had fun with how you approached the different seeds. I think making them really different is a good approach.

Best of luck!

The visuals are really good.

I found the vine swing to be very non intuitive, I spent some time trying to swing off the vine and I still don't know how.

Other than that, the concept of the game is interesting and, like I said, the visuals are great.

Good luck!

It's an interesting idea. I also liked the idea of displaying a tutorial during the game, and the character himself is also cool. I wish you good luck in the implementation of the project!

The gameplay is engaging, but I can see players getting frustrated over the jumping of the character and the precision needed to land perfectly on the bamboo or making sure that it doesn't grow too much/fast before getting on. The music also stops after a bit and doesn't loop. I'm not sure if that was intentional. Otherwise really good! Good luck!
