Nice take on the theme!

It's fun flinging atoms around and getting more and more upgrades :D

Submitted(+1)

Fun game! Once I figured out what everything did it became a really fun race to make the biggest explosion before time ran up. Great entry!

Submitted(+1)

Super addicting game!

I thought it was super interesting and I kept playing for so long.

Well done, I enjoyed it very much :D

Submitted(+1)

One thing to make it even more addicting, would be to add some more satisfying sounds when they collide!

Developer(+1)

YES! That would be sooo good to add!!!

Submitted(+1)

This was a pretty cool idea! I wish there were some sound effects though, and the music started to get repetitive fairly quickly.

Developer

Thank you for enjoying and I think sound effects would be so cool to add!

Submitted(+1)

I was a little confused at first, but once i understood the game, it became really fun! Throwing atoms around and buying upgrades was very satisfying, especially when everything became chaotic. I liked the artwork. Cool idea and great job!

Submitted(+1)

I love the idea! Next time I’ll try to cause an even bigger catastrophe!!

Submitted(+1)

Pretty nice incremental game :D

Submitted(+1)

Such a cool idea, there's so much depth to the gameplay that you need to wrap yourself around. When you get into it you *really get into it*. The art is brilliant, and so is the sound. You each contributed so much ^^

Developer

Awww thank you that means a bunch!!! It took so long to animate but proud of the outcome (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹

Submitted(+1)

Really creative idea! I really liked the art style and the overall presentation of the game. The concept is very original, and the narrative adds a lot of personality to the experience. I think you did a great job combining the gameplay, visuals, and story into a unique interpretation of the jam theme. Great work!

Submitted(+1)

Not bad. I found myself mostly just spamming double click and buying upgrades whenever they came up, which seemed to work just fine, so I never really got what was supposed to make the gameplay interesting. The game feel was pretty good though, with all the particle effects and text pop-ups and whatnot. The music quickly became quite repetitive though. Pretty charming overall. Good job guys

Lwk rlly awesome

Developer(+1)

Thank you, comrade!

The Ministry of Scientific Aesthetics has received your official assessment of "rlly awesome" and will be adding it to the reactor's permanent records.

Atom Jerry is extremely pleased with this development and has already requested funding for an even larger reactor. We have hidden the funding forms.

Thank you for playing!

This is a good chaotic game. Keep up the good work, Comrade!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, comrade!

We are delighted that you enjoyed the chaos! Controlled chaos was the official goal. The fact that it occasionally becomes less controlled is simply evidence that the reactor is working properly.

Atom Jerry has been informed of your praise and has interpreted it as permission to make the reactor even more chaotic. The Ministry of Workplace Safety is currently chasing him down the corridor.

Thank you for playing, comrade! Glory to science!

I think some more tutorials / explanation could have been useful, but once you understand, the game feels great to play! It's consistently engaging and hectic, which I really enjoyed

Developer(+2)

Thank you, comrade!

We're really glad you enjoyed the hectic reactor once you got the hang of it! Watching the atoms bounce around and slowly turn into complete chaos was exactly the experience we were hoping for.

Your tutorial feedback is definitely noted. It seems the Ministry of Player Orientation may have relied a little too heavily on Atom Jerry's preferred teaching method: "Here is the reactor. Throw things at each other. You will figure it out."

We were working against the GMTK deadline, so some of the explanations unfortunately had to be sacrificed to the great god of shipping the damn game.

Thanks for sticking with it and for the thoughtful feedback, comrade!

I was a little confused at first but then i realized what was going on and was like "wait this is awesome"
Very fun and chaotic! Great take on a "clicker" game where you are rewarded with more chaos

Developer(+1)

Thank you, comrade!

We are delighted that you survived the initial "what the hell is happening?" phase of the experiment and reached the much more scientifically important "WAIT, THIS IS AWESOME" phase.

The Ministry of Player Orientation has reviewed your report and confirmed that Atom Jerry's official onboarding strategy of "just start throwing atoms and eventually they'll figure it out" may require some refinement.

We're really glad you enjoyed the chaos! Making the clicker loop progressively more ridiculous was exactly what we were aiming for.

Thank you for conducting this extremely important scientific research, comrade!

Submitted(+2)

I had a great time with this one! I found myself spamming double-click, and it made me smile when all the atoms would smash against each other. It was a fun way to earn upgrades. Plus, I thought the art was cute. Amazing job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, comrade!

We are extremely pleased to hear that you discovered the highly advanced technique of DOUBLE-CLICKING VIOLENTLY UNTIL THE ATOMS COLLIDE. This technique was developed after years of rigorous research by Atom Jerry. He says the only thing better than one click, is two clicks - we are not sure he has discovered the number three and shudder at the thought that he will sometime soon.

We are especially happy that the atomic smashing made you smile! Watching the little atoms bounce around and turn increasingly chaotic was one of our favourite parts to build.

The Ministry of Atomic Illustration also appreciates your kind words about the art. They will be celebrating responsibly, which means they will probably draw another reactor.

Thank you for playing, comrade! Glory to the upgrades!

Submitted(+2)

I honestly didn't know what I was doing but it's an incremental game so I figured if I just kept shooting the atoms around and buying upgrades then I'm doing fine. The atoms were cute though.

Developer(+2)

Thank you, comrade!

Excellent. You have successfully completed the Atomgrad training programme.

The official procedure is indeed:

  1. Shoot atoms.
  2. Numbers become bigger.
  3. Buy upgrade.
  4. Shoot atoms harder.
  5. Continue until your reach a catastrophe (graded from moderate to glorious) .

Understanding the science is entirely optional. Atom Jerry has been running the laboratory for months and we're still not convinced he understands it either.

We're glad you enjoyed the little atoms and had fun with the experiment! Thank you for playing, comrade!

Submitted(+2)

Very addicting! Had a lot of fun playing this - but took me a bit to get the hang of it.

Developer(+2)

Thank you, comrade!

We're really happy you stuck with the reactor and had fun! Reaching the point where everything starts bouncing around chaotically was exactly what we hoped players would experience.

That's also really useful feedback about it taking a little while to get the hang of things. It seems Atom Jerry's onboarding strategy of "throw them into the reactor and hope they figure it out" may require some refinement.

We'll pass your report on to the Ministry of Player Orientation so they can generate full report and write up about the onboarding process. Thanks again for helping us improve Atomgrad, and we are so glad you enjoyed it!

im addicted to the gameloop, lovely visuals and matching audio!!

Developer(+2)

Thank you, comrade!

Hearing that you got hooked on the gameplay loop is one of the best compliments we could receive! We're also really glad you enjoyed the visuals and audio, they were lovingly crafted by our Bureau of Atomic Illustrations and the matching Bureau of Atomic Acoustics.

Atom Jerry has already interpreted this as approval to build a bigger reactor. We are trying to stop him.

Submitted(+2)

xD LET EM BUILD THE BIGGEST REACTOR HE CAN MWAHAHAHA

Submitted(+2)

This was kinda addicting and fun. But I noticed some problems like some of the objects freezing and not being able to interact with them. Otherwise a fun clicker!

Developer(+2)

Thank you, comrade!

We are pleased to hear the reactor successfully achieved its primary objective: becoming just one more fling addicting.

As for the frozen objects, it appears a handful of atoms have decided to unionise and refuse further participation in our experiments. Atom Jerry insists they are "taking a well-earned break." The engineers insist it's a bug, but Jerry doesnt think that the atoms look anything like bugs.

We'll be sending the Ministry of Atomic Maintenance to get those lazy particles back to work. Thanks so much for playing and for reporting it!

Submitted(+2)

a modest disaster indeed... yknow exploding the planet kind of modesty. liked throwing the atoms around and stuff. and man i couldnt stop losing track of the mouse cursor. the time is a bit on the longer... alright it is freakishly long, 10 whole minutes of bumping atoms with eachother and making upgrades just to make it explode in the end

Developer

Thank you, comrade!

We are pleased to report that our "Modest Disaster" has exceeded all expectations. The Ministry had only budgeted for minor planetary destruction, but Atom Jerry was left unsupervised for approximately 10 minutes.

We're really happy you enjoyed flinging the atoms around—that satisfying chaos was exactly what we were aiming for!

The disappearing mouse cursor has been noted by the Bureau of Cursor Recovery, who are currently searching the reactor for it with little flashlights, in the meantime we will be working on a brand New Cursor, that hopefully will wear it's safety mandated high visibility vest.

And that's really valuable feedback about the timer too. We wanted players to have enough time to build up to a glorious catastrophe, but it sounds like the countdown may have been a little... too generous. We'll definitely take that on board for future reactor designs.

Thanks so much for playing and for helping improve Atomgrad, comrade!
