How does your game fit the theme?
I used a play on the word "Count" as in "Count Dracula," my game's main enemy is a vampire. In a secondary way I wanted to include a counter of the npc's in the game and as the vampire eats the npc's the player sees that number counting down.

Killed the count with only one casualty... RIP. Fun game! Having to navigate around the map while mostly focusing on the sky is a pretty fun challenge. It's pretty simple mechanically speaking, but I could definitely see how you might expand on this in the future. I thought the slowness of the character worked pretty well, since you have a decent amount of time after the vampire lands before he actually snatches up the villager. It forced me to have to think about where he was gonna land next and try and position myself close enough in advance. Overall, a really fun experience! Well done!
Thank you for your time and feedback
Only one villager survived but I managed to kill the werewolf, so hooray! I guess we will have to repopulate the village together... NICE GAME
Well, it simple but fun game! Dont like being that slow, but game can put you in position of a town guard pretty well, so great job!
9! One of the losses may or may not have been collateral damage from: I forgot clicking shot the gun. The count is appropriately spooky and I loved how limited the sightlines were. I got lost A LOT because all the buildings looked very similar, which may be intentional and a good thing haha. I'm not sure if the villagers' corpses were supposed to disappear, but they did for me. I think leaving them may make this even more interesting (that way when he kills someone, you can find the corpse so you know where he was last). This was a cool game!
Thank you for the feedback, very helpful. Im glad you enjoyed the limited sightlines, i did put some time into that. It was semi on purpose the getting lost aspect but it is a very small map so I didn't think it'd be toooo hindering. Your suggestion about dead bodies sticking around is perfect, that is a great way to know you are hot on the trail.
Really cool man. Had a lot of fun killing the villagers <3
This is a nice game! I just hunted the count when I spotted it, which made the game a bit easy but again jam games are made easy :) , well done!
I agree with you it is a bit easy once you spot the vampire. I was mostly chasing the feeling of seeing where he lands and running through the twisted streets to shoot him. You are spot on that jam games should be a little easy.
this is fun, I like the idea of you needing to search the vampire before all the village is dead but maybe make him teleport when you hit him because you can easily follow him once you find the vampire. otherwise good game and I got a score of 11 villager saved
I agree with you, once you find him it is easy to track after that. I had some playtesters before final build and i saw if you cant find the vampire at all the game is miserable just wondering lost through the village. So I cranked some numbers to make it easy for the jam real quick. I'd rather everyone find him than half the people have a bad time. Having him teleport on hit is a fantastic idea and could make for a sick animation, im thinking a portal opens up and he steps in lol.
Short, but pretty fun game! I liked the art a lot and the aim mechanics were quite fun. My record was 10 after multiple play throughs!
glad you enjoyed it, thank you for playing.
took me a second to figure out you could track him in the sky, can you hit him up there? My aim isn't good enough if so. 11 Neighbors alive!
You are able to shoot him up there. Just by pure distance and movement it is tougher to hit him while flying and easier to hit while on ground. That is what I was hoping for, a short window while he is walking that is easy to hit, but you could accidently also shoot a neighbor. 11 is a great score :)
Biggest issue was just getting the controls working, itch didn't seem to play nice with it and kept doing weird things with the mouse but once i got it fixed it was a pretty cool game, like you are the sole defender of the town. Good job!
I killed the vampire with 7 neighbors left. Tracking the vampire location from the sky feels satisfying. Well executed short game!
I'm glad you enjoyed the tracking! That was what I envisioned.
That atmosphere!
Thanks, i put a lot of attention for making it feel right
i did kill all my neighbors too :D but second time only one or two died.. . btw audio was super great everytime i can tell where draculu lands... and nice large village too <3
That was my hope is that you can track the vampire through sounds, glad it worked out
On the first night: *I kill all my neighbors*
On the second night: *Oh, I have to save them*
But the game is pretty cool and fun. I liked the vampire’s movement mechanics and the fact that you don’t expect him to come from above!
I’d like to see some animations added for the neighbors so they’d at least walk around and go about their business, instead of just waiting for them all to die :D
Thank you for playing my game and the feedback. I also thought it was odd they are just standing still but i chocked it up as a jam quirk.
The Vampire jump was dramatic!
I really liked adding the cape flapping sound :>
Great work to get a 3D game out, being able to shoot the neighbors was a funny discovery.
From the very start of making the game i knew you had to be able to accidently shoot the npc's. My dream is someone turns the corner and gets startled from a neighbor and accidently shoots them.
We enter a total atmosphere of music and super nice 3D! The game is well balanced in terms of difficulty and it’s great!
Im glad to hear the balance felt good, thanks for playing
Fun short game!
Thanks for playing :)
Welp, couldn't save everyone (including the ones I accidentally shot), but it was a fun little short game!
I was torn on if someone should be able to get a perfect run and be able to save everyone but i put the difficulty so that you probably have to lose one or two. Glad to hear some neighbors got accidently shot ;)
