Bro took the theme too literally XD
Good idea though :v
Super creative interpretation of the theme, and a really unique gameplay loop. Nice work!
Thanks! Yours is too. I could probably make the loop better here with some roguelite elements like waves and upgrades between waves or something and different enemies.
I liked the music and sfx, good level of polish, although it gets repetitive a bit fast.
Thanks! I agree it's repetitive. As others have said, I should probably add more enemy types and I'm thinking of adding waves and upgrade between waves, maybe a course you gotta get Dracula through.
clever
Solid game, though I wish there were at least like one or two more enemy types.
Thanks! If I had more time, I would definitely add more enemies. Was thinking of adding vampire hunters that shoot silver bullets and a melee enemy that uses a wooden stake.
Quite fun and juicy game!
The only caveats I see are the lack of a fullscreen button (which is a minor thing) and enemies sometimes spawning too close to the Dracula. And maybe you could zoom the camera out a bit, because IMO it felt a little cramped.
But otherwise, the halo movement is nice and satisfying, the sound effects and visual feedback are on point, great job!
Thanks for the great feedback!
I’ll work on making my games full screen compatible. And I made it so the crosses don’t spawn close to Dracula, but didn’t apply that logic to the werewolves since they won’t attack if they are close to Dracula since they are only ranged.
Zooming out the camera is a good idea. I should have played with that more before settling on the size.
Surprisingly fun for such a simple game! Gotta admit that I got a bit confused when I kept winning so fast... until I realized I was supposed to protect the Count lmao.
Lol you’re just too good at this game!
I loved your entry in One Button Jam. Glad to see you did GMTK. Man, this one reminds me so much of the NES games I rented 35 years ago! Well done, and good luck.
Aw thanks for that! Glad you enjoyed Sniff Man lol. Good luck to you as well :D
Licks lips whilst slurping the blood down on the sewer floor
I think it could use a few more enemy types for variety but thats only a minor complaint. I do like how the angels halo moves around and bounces from enemies though, its really fun to control
*Slurping jello sound* :P
Thanks for the feedback. More enemy types would definitely help. I was also thinking of making it wave-based with upgrades between waves.
...wow you must feel very proud of that name, what a good and creative pun... *cough cough*
This is so fun! The gameplay feels satisfying and reactive and the art is pretty good, also I love these games where you're not playing from the main characters perspective. Nice job!
Lol thanks, I thought I was being so original, but I see there are like 40+ dracula games. Just played yours. Nice take on it!
Great way to develop the countdown. Very creative.
So silly and fun!!! I really like the sprites, they're cute!!! Made me laugh and it's fun. Good job
☺️ Thanks! Glad you had fun :)
