Nice little game, I like how you leverage the parallax to make panning part of the gameplay to expose some of the bugs. The intro sequence is very cute, and the art style and audio make a simple concept enjoyable to play.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm really happy to hear that!:) I wanted the game to feel more dynamic than a typical hidden object game, so I added the parallax and interactive elements. I'm excited to keep working on it after the jam! I'd love to turn it into a full Steam game!

The artwork is so soothing with the  music, really helped me feel better after a stressful day

Developer

I'm really happy to hear that! Knowing the game could help someone unwind after a stressful day honestly means a lot to me—that was exactly the kind of cozy, relaxing experience we were hoping to create:)

The response has been far beyond what we expected, and with how much people seem to be enjoying it, I'd absolutely love to turn it into a full Steam game. Thanks again for your kind words and support!

Wow what a game with great art work. I have to say your team got really good artist and musician! It brings me serenity. The game is smart that most of the little critters are relatively easy to find and just a few of them you have to zoom in to reveal them from the parallex! I think those are the good mechanisms you should keep! The gameplay is short and sweet and I genuinely enjoyed and eager to play more if you have more content in the future! I used to play many of those hidden objects game like 15yrs ago. So great work guys!

Such a peaceful time, really enjoyed the watercolors. Great game!

Really good! Hope there will be more levels)

Developer

4 days even without sleep were just not enough to finish everything we planned. But with how much people seem to be enjoying it, I'd love to turn it into a full Steam game:)

I like the artwork

Developer

thank you so much - I'm happy you like it:) takes a lot of time, but hopefully it's worth it:)

Very cozy and the music and sounds felt fantastic! I wish there were more levels, and I didn't quite understand how it fit countdown, but good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! We'll definitely continue development after the jam, and hopefully one day I'll be able to release the full version on Steam:)

Concerning the theme, as all hidden object games, it has a countdown of objects you need to find. I was planning to include a timer with a countdown too, but decided against it - with time pressure the game wouldn't be relaxing anymore

Submitted(+1)

This is a relaxing game. maybe if the critters had an animation of flying away or something It would take it to the next level. I didnt see the countdown mechanic though

Developer

thanks! that's a cool idea - though for a snail it will take a lot of time to move away, hehe:)

The art and audio are amazing. You all created a world that I want to spend time in. I think you're leaning on the genre a little hard, and while it technically fits the theme, the countdown mechanic feels ancillary to the world you've built. Relaxing and beautiful, though!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'll definitely continue development after the jam and finish the levels that I didn't manage on time - and hopefully one day I'll be able to release the full version on Steam:)

Developer

thanks! i had fun playing your game too:)

very cool game had hard time finding the last bug,  I was zoomed in and It seems the last bug for me was possible to find only after zooming out. I used the smell thing to find it. nice game :)

Developer

Great that you managed to find all the bugs:) Indeed, it was a bit challenging, and I'm glad you managed:)

WOWOWOWOW such a cute game, the art work is phenomenal! Such a relaxing vibe, my only critique is that I didn't realize some bugs were only visible when you zoomed in (at least from what I experienced), but that may be more of a skill issue with me and hidden object games than anything. Insanely polished game and I expect this to do very well!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

Yes, we wanted the game to feel more dynamic than a typical hidden object game, so we added the parallax:) Maybe I should have kept instructions about camera zoom and drag a bit longer on the screen. Thanks for the feedback:) Hope you found all the bugs:)

Submitted(+1)

cute art style and nice atmosphere. There were 2 I couldnt find for the life of me! The audio clips sadly from time to time

Developer

thanks so much!

To find all the bugs you need to Both zoom and drag camera around. If you are not sure, you can make the hint circle smaller in Settings. If you don't see the bug in the centre of the circle, it's probably behind a bush. It's possible to see them all, I promise:)

I think it might be related to how FMOD behaves in the browser. Could you try a different browser? If that doesn't help, the Windows download should work without the audio issues.

I really loved your art style. It reminds me of those beautifully illustrated children's books. Maybe that's actually your day job? 😄

That said, I'll be honest: I'm not really convinced this is a game, or that it fits the jam's theme very well. There's no real challenge (like a time limit or any kind of failure state), and the gameplay is extremely simple.

I remember playing a point-and-click game called Freddi Fish as a kid, and that definitely felt like a game. This... I'm not so sure.

You clearly put a lot of work into this, though, so I hope this ends up being the only negative review you get. I'm following you, and I hope next time I'll see something that's not only beautiful, but also genuinely fun to play.

Thank you so much for taking the time to play the game and write such thoughtful feedback!:) I'm really happy you liked the art style—that's a huge compliment!

I completely understand where you're coming from. This is a hidden object game, which is a pretty niche genre. It's designed to be more of a relaxing, cozy experience rather than a challenging one, so there aren't any fail states or time pressure. I think it's perfectly fine if that style of gameplay isn't for everyone—just like not everyone enjoys fast-paced action games. Sometimes it's nice to slow down:)

I actually remember playing Freddi Fish too!:) It's a great game, but I'd consider it more of a point-and-click adventure. The main similarity is that both games are controlled with the mouse, but point-and-click games can cover lots of different genres, from adventures and puzzles to hidden object games like this one.

Concerning the theme, as all hidden object games, it has a countdown of objects you need to find. I was planning to include a timer with a countdown too, but decided against it - with time pressure the game wouldn't be relaxing anymore.

Thanks again for the kind words! I really appreciate the encouragement, and I hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next—even if it's something completely different.
