the reading file is way to slow but i love the concept!!
This is absolutely brilliant! An immediate jam favourite of mine already.
The aesthetic of the office scene is so cool and it fits the hacking theme really well. The low poly models and sound effects set the vibe perfectly, and the glowing countdown feels ominous and important. That and managing sending terminal commands while also looking over your shoulder for the manager worked really well to make for some tense gameplay. Incredible.
I teach programming and will definitely be using this for my intro to linux terminal classes. Great way to learn the basics in an interesting way.
(I also went for mechanical keyboard clicks as a key part of my game)
Terminal is perfect! Looks and feels cool! Wasn’t able to finish the game, run out of time. But I think I got a bit of progress. Might come back to it later!
The audio of the game is super satisfying, especially that typewrite effect. The game is interesting, but a little bit hard to complete for me. Nice work though!
Crazy how accurately you recreated a virtual terminal here. Even unmentioned details like UP to re-run previous commands are implemented. The timer you're put on is definitely nerve-wracking, I wasn't able to complete the objective in time. Interesting game, though.
I really liked the terminal command interface premise for this game, makes it feel like a more grounded hacking game! It was fun being able to put my terminal navigation skills to use in a game! One suggestion I have is to add a little tutorial to help guide players that might not be as familiar with a command interface since that can be a little daunting for people that have never used them before.
