Great job! Very creative control-scheme and mechanics to meet the "Count Down" theme!

Submitted(+1)

Haha this is really fun game! Great game in a short time! I think the theme and the graphics work really well! And also the music fit well!

Submitted(+1)

This is CRAZY, and I mean that in the best possible way. It made me laugh, it made me angry but most of all it made sure that I won't be forgetting it in a hurry. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is perfect for this kind of game and the sfx are just *chef's kiss*. Amazing job!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game, i'm glad you enjoyed it! I love that it managed to take you through a whole roller coaster of emotions haha

Damn chickens are hard to catch 10/10 for simulating the real world feeling!

(seems like the developer have real world experince!)

I felt the pain of catching one too!

Creativity - 5/5

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Catching chickens is definitely a painful endeavour :D

I didn't change my birds or items until I hit goose, then I went back and tried them. I loved the feel of the game, the music was perfect, the art was good, and the gameplay was pretty good. It felt a little repetitive, but it wasn't just a clicker, I could feel myself improving as I tried to catch the birds.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! I agree that the menu was pretty ambiguous and that the game becomes repetitive over time. I like to think that the bird catching mechanic would do better in a series of minigames where the hand has to do different things, this being one of them haha. I'm glad you felt like you improved with the controls though! I personally think that's the beauty of repetition in these sorts of "rage-controls"-games
Thanks for playing our game to the end! it means a lot :D

Submitted(+1)

Thanks for making an amusing rage game!

making the player do everything literally by hand was so creative haha (it was so hard to catch the chickens omg)

Submitted(+2)

ok, this was creepy

Really well made but kinda creepy

This game was very fun!!! The music, the art, the gameplay 10 out 10. Great use of the theme.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed your experience :D

Very fun game! Having the player count the plucked feathers is a nice addition to the challenge, but it might be helpful to show how many birds have been completely plucked, just to give players some feedback. Either way, good work!

Developer(+1)

That's an interesting idea. Thank you! Lots of ideas have been tossed around with all the feedback we've gotten, and something definitely needs to happen to make this game more interesting or fun, and this was an idea we haven't heard yet! I appreciate your feedback, and thank you for trying it out! 😄

When there were two birds, I lost count of the plucked feathers. I remembered that four birds had already been fully plucked, and I missed the container once, so I managed to get my count back on track. That's where my suggestion came from :D

Submitted(+1)

Very fun and quirky. Really like how player has to move the mouse to pluck, gives a nice game feel. Music, sfx and art style were also really cool.
It'll be nice to see how many feathers collected along with the target, though. I thought it was endless at first.
Great game...it was really entertaining.

Developer

To fit with the theme of counting, we decided to let the player try to count in their head while all the chaos is going down. We have received a bunch of feedback on this though and will likely change that in the future and make the difficulty come from elsewhere. Thank you for playing and your feedback!

Submitted

Oh cool...I actually did count the plucks,  but I didn't know how many feathers I got per pluck so that's why I didn't know what my progress was.

banger music: ~~~chicken chicken pluck pluck pluck ~~~
noice game.
Catching chicken was so hard for me lol

also my game also features kinda weird hand/fingers control xd

Submitted(+2)

Funny take on the theme, I was trying to figure out what it had to do with countdown and then I was like "Oh we're counting down feathers" lol Nice work. I spent a long time on the first mattress unable to click the button to escape because I thought it's been placed out of range as a joke, then I rememebred I could WASD to move xD Good job

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

You got it, that is exactly the idea! haha. That would have been a great joke. i imagine a troll level where that finger is just pushing it all over the place xD
Thanks for playing and making me laugh!

Submitted(+2)

Very unique idea! Maybe progression is too slow. Like the art work and bg song. Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

We had plans for plenty of other birds and items to make progression feel more smooth, but scope creep got to us and this is what we ended up with. Game jams do be like that haha. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Disturbing but creative idea ! Maybe the birds movement could be smoother, anyway congrats !

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I can see what you mean by that, and if you look at it from that perspective then yeah it is. We definitely do not condone the live plucking of birds in real life. That is horrible!
This is however meant to be a comedic game about silly birds and an awkward hand :D Thanks for playing anyhow!

Submitted(+1)

Unexpected game with complex feelings. Game was fun but plucking makes me feel sad :(  Game working great tho.

Developer

Don't worry, Kevin the Chicken and his friends are all okay, we promise <3. We originally fiddled honestly with the idea of having them regrow the feathers, or making them magical birds, but in the end this is what we got. Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

Submitted(+1)

Man, this was difficult! Or maybe I'm not that good hehe. Funny gameplay tho!

Feel free to check our game :)

Submitted(+1)

really nice idea and the music is gold, had some problem getting the feathers in but thats what we call "skill issue" but even if i cant play "like nolan intended" this was a really fun experience i advice eveybody that can pinch their fingers to try this game for themselves. pls make sure you rate my game too,

beni malin, malin beni.

Really nice idea for theme, and good feel to the game, love the soundtrack! One thing I would mention is that it can be frustrating when the cursor goes outside of the screen, and you can no longer click, what might be good is to lock the cursor to the screen during gameplay.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I tried to do this but was unsuccessful on the coding side. It created weird side effects, but i completely agree. It is so very frustrating to click outside the playarea! Currently the right fullscreen button fixes the issue with both viewport size and clicking outside the window, but i hope to fix both issues after the jam. Thank you for playing! We really appreciate your feedback

Well executed idea overall. The music was unnerving for some reason.  I like the zany control scheme, but it wasn't very clear how I was meant to fill the bags to begin with.
