Such a creative mechanic and interpretation of the theme! I made it to level 10, but it's definitely a really cool game! The artstyle is charming as well, and the music fits pretty well too!

Only thing that held me back a bit, which might just be a personal preference, is that you have to die a lot of times on purpose to progress through the levels which makes it a sort of puzzle game of sorts. It's a cool mechanic, though!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for giving it a go! I'm glad you really liked the interpretation and I highly appreciate your kind words!

I definitely agree, that's what I discovered after seeing people playtest it which can be a pain point. I already have some potential solutions that I could implement in the future (like a gun to kill past memories, etc) which I will explore more if I decide to work on it more!

Oh lord! Your game is my favourite at this GMTK! Amazing feature with ghost memory walkthoughs!

wow this is a pretty unique puzzle game, very fun to play too. I really love how you could get as creative as you want to complete the puzzle, throwing keys around is also very fun lol.

Developer

Thank you for giving it a go! I'm glad you liked the puzzles and the key mechanic!

Extremely fun puzzle game, I love throwing keys then picking them up later as a different Timmy, great job!

This is a very fun puzzle game. Though you could brute-force the levels in the beginning, the later ones stop that. Great game!

Developer

Thank you for trying it out! The brute forcing is intentional to get the players comfortable with the mechanics (though for some of them, it does need a bit of tweaking xD). But yeah, thanks again for commenting!

Got to 14, will be back to finish this off later.
Unique game, probably one of the best "Youve been here before" games I have played with really goood execution. The first time I got things lined up perfectly only for a ghost to knock a key throw out of the way was rage-inducing lol.

Countdown mechanic is just a timer, which is fine, the game itself makes up for that aspect of it. Art and audio tie well together, really enjoyed this game and the puzzles/levels

Thank you so much for trying it out! I appreciate your kind words and your comments on each aspect of the game!

So many great puzzles! the concept is very unique and I'm a big fan, I think a direction indicator would help a bit for when throwing the keys, and i'm very curious how many timmies can exist before it all collapses haha, great work!

Developer

Heyyy! Nice to see a familliar face! Thank you for giving it a go! I'll definitely look into the direction indicator suggestions! To answer you're last question, it would be a LOT of Timmies xD.

The concept is interesting, but I think there's something missing to it. Ignoring the obvious exploits - pressure plates being trivialized by just getting a bunch of Timmies on it, allowing you to completely disregard boxes, or keys going through spikes, making level 15 possible in just a single Timmy. I think it would be interesting to explore possibility of limited or minimal amount of Timmies to use. I would totally try to complete every level with the least amount of Timmies for the golden star 👀

Bonus points for narrative (poor Timmy and his diabetes) and ability to speed up the game (although I think it can cause some desyncs with how ghosts behave, and I find it weird that it's just slowly accelerating instead of being faster right away).

Developer

Thank you so much for your thorough feedback! There were a lot of ideas in regards to the game but I had to scope down due to the time! The design are all intentional (the pressure plate exploit and level 15) though it does need a bit more tweaking! I will continue to iterate and I definitely agree on a Timmy Count system which would be nice to be added!

I'm glad you gave bonus points for narrative! The speed up mechanic needed a bit more feedback to make it more impactful I think. I will definitely look into it!

Again, thank you so much for the feedback and thanks for playing!
