I like it! simple but fun! THAT GREEN GUY THO! he kept hiding behind others and made me lose xd
Thank you for playing! :D
Haha :D
I find your art really appealling. It's like a more upscale XKCD vibe. With gameplay: I wish the feeding area was a bit more permissive, there were many times when the mouth opens but then doesn't eat :( What a fussy eater!
Thank you for playing! :)
Yeah, I get your point! Definitely need more polish on the difficulty part... Thanks for the feedback. :)
Big fan of the art style! The game was very simple but charming, and it felt incredibly polished! Nicely done!
Thank you for playing! :)
I'm glad you liked the art-style. :D
Just wish I had more time for morepolishing haha
Kind of felt like the game got easier as there were more people.
Then when there were a lot of people, it becomes difficult to grab the person you need because of spacing rather than any player skill.
Thank you for playing! :)
Yeah, I understand your point.
Still, I wanted to give somewhat of a feeling of chaos and helplessness at the end.
Hope you still enjoyed it! :)
It's a really addictive game! The idea is very easy to grasp and while the gameplay is simple, I think there's still quite a bit of challenge too as we progress further. The color differences are quite subtle too which adds to that. Big fan of the art as well, it looks very clean. Great work!
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! <3
It means a lot to me! :)
The visual style here hits a nice mix of clean but a tiny bit gross that you would see in older flash games, which I absolutely love. I'd also like to mention how cool the opening of the game was in conjunction with the itch page! Gamewise I thought the concept was simple but effective, although sometimes grabbing a person felt unresponsive. Nice entry!
Thanks a bunch for playing and for the feedback! <3
nice work with art and sound! addictive gameplay
Thank you for playing! :)
Simple and effective ! Good job ! It's really nice !
Definitely need some help for colourblind people tho ! I don't have that problem but I can see some people struggling with the difficulty as it goes on !
Thanks for playing! :)
And thank you very much for bringing colorblindness up! The topic of colorblindness is a very good point.
Let me explain myself:
since there are a bunch of different types of colorblindness (e.g. trichromacy with protanomaly, deuteranomaly, and tritanomaly, which represent anomalous trichromacy, but there are also dichromatic or monochromatic types), I couldn't implement all the needed colors for all the types, mainly out of lack of time. Red-weak (protanomaly) and blue-weak (tritanomaly) work 'okay' with my current color palette. But you are totally right... the struggle is there, and the best way to address it is to implement an option to switch through all the different colorblindness types as an accessibility option. I will work on that after the jam and update it as fast as I can! :)
You could play with patterns and shapes in addition yo colors too. It helps differentiate colors without using colors in some ways.
But don't take my word, Mark Brown actually did a video on that some time ago ha ha, it will be a better ressource for you than my comment.
Believe it or not, different shaped characters and shapes (circles, squares, crosses, etc.) inside the colors were planned, but I had to cut them for time. :D
Working alone means cutting scope haha! :)
Completely agree ha ha !
This was a fun spot the color difference loop! I can see it being an accessibility issue for colorblind people, but it leans into the "Pick the pink guy. No not that pink, the darker pink," and so making it fully colorblind accessible would fundamentally change the game. The approach to the theme was creative, the detail of the people on the computers at the top was thoughtful, and the narrative you created was powerful and had good social commentary, despite it not having any text. Nice entry!
Thank you for the feedback! :)
As the game goes on, my randomized people almost have the same color with only a one or two unique colors. I don't know if this is intentional but there might be some message there
Thanks for playing! :)
I get the problem with the colors, thanks for sharing!
I will look into that after the jam! <3
Extremely clever, I gave it a 5/5 in narrative. The game mechanics are imbued with strong philosophical metaphors and could be explained in many different ways. Comparing to those jam games with a lot of text, this would be a much cleverer and player-friendly way to express something. I really love it!
I just hope that there could be a true end or something lol (it's polished enough tho!)
Wow... thank you! This means so much to me. <3
Yeah, I hope I didn't play down such an important topic. :)
Glad you liked it and thank you for playing! <3
something felt Artifical but Intelligence behind the game was pretty smart
Haha thanks! :D
AI need more rams? give it up we use human… Btw great game, really enjoyed it
Yeah I konw, dark... xD
Thank you for playing! <3
Love playing this game 🎮
Fun little game to feed the Machine.
Thank you for playing! :)
Really creative and fun game! I loved the art style and the idea of feeding people to the machine. The little details and animations were great too!
Thank you! Means a lot! <3
Beautiful game. Simple, but it was totally cohesive, and got challenging as it went on. I loved the art and music, great work!
Thank you! Glad you loved the art! Music is not by me, check the credits. :) <3
This game is like an interactive piece of art. Would expect to see it in a museum somewhere as like commentary on how society works or something... I don't even know what I'm saying. I like the colors
Hahaha thank you! :D
I also liked the colors, thanks for playing! <3
Cool game! I loved the art and color palette. I'd suggest possibly adding another small detail differing the people in addition to colors just for better accessibility, like maybe similar but ever so slightly different hats or something, but all in all great job!
You're right... more variations would've been nice. Just ran out of time, haha. :D
Very creative game. Good use of colours in a game. I never imagine using them and this is a great way to make a game based in colours. The art and the audio are excellent too.
Thanks a lot! :)
Art is terrifying (but in a good way). I dont know if its just me but I struggled with the blue colors more then any other. Cool game though.
I'll check the blue tone and maybe tweak it. <3
Thanks for playing! :)
