How does your game fit the theme?
We tackled the 'countdown' theme by creating a race against the Mayan doomsday clock, where feeding the gods is the only way to delay the inevitable.

pretty fun lil concept, with a nice and challenging loop

tho the art felt a bit weird, some assets were really high res, while others not so much, some had pixels left over where the background wasn't cropped and some had different filtering making them all blurry

Hello! Thank you for your feedback, it is very important to us! We really planned to replace many of the textures with the same ones as in the cards, but we didn’t have time, since we were very busy balancing and debugging the main systems of the game. Thanks for your honest opinion!

Very nice game! It's very intense, with the timer creating constant pressure that's perfectly complemented by the music. I also liked how the timer can be gradually extended, adding some nice strategic depth. Great job!

I'm not usually a big fan of strategy and settlement building games but this one really kept me engaged till i had done like 4 runs. The music and sfx is also very eerie and fits the sacrifice/impending doom theme perfectly. Great job!

Hello! Thank you very much, first of all, for your feedback and rating, it is important for us!

thank you for rating the audio part of the game, I, as a sound designer, am pleased to hear rave reviews of my sounds and sound tracks

We're glad you liked it considering you're not a fan of strategy games, it was a great achievement that you played again and again

thank you!

Barely cleared the game with about 3 seconds left.

Boy, the music getting faster with the countdown was so terrifying. I thought I was going to clear this easily since I had hoarded many resources, but then I saw the last stage and had to count down the most precious 'resource'...

It captured the intensity of the countdown very well. Excellent work!

Developer(+1)

Hello! Everyone feels sorry for this worker (let's call him BOB), but such survival conditions mean you either do monstrous evil for one person and save everyone, or save him and lose everyone!

yes the game leads to the misconception that you need to accumulate more resources for this, and the trick is that you don't always need as many as you think, I think our game teaches you to look through the chaos

And please remember Bob's feat (optional), he sacrificed a lot for this game!

It was truly intense; the relentless music and pacing kept me on edge while playing T - T. I really wished the attendant standing in the right would step in and help out, as I simply couldn't keep up with the clicking.

By the way, the game's resources and the progression of tasks were excellently designed, and the difficulty level was just right—it has great potential for further refinement. As it happens, I’ve also created a narrative game centered on a doomsday countdown involving a comet impact.

Good Job!

Great Game! Many interesting decisions while having the pressure of a time limit? sure!
I at the end of each playthrough, I had something in mind to do differently next time and make it further. That's good game design.

We'd also like you to rate our game based on the number of points you think our game deserves, if you haven't already. This will help us visit user pages more often and attract more attention. Thank you

I had so much fun in this game, I really like the visuals, I had a tough time when obsidian was requested.. One thing to point out is that giving all the resources isn't really necessary (you can get away with using them at the beginning to get extra workers or the corn farm ready) as long as you don't run out of time.. Or Was it intentional to prevent the player from getting too much time?  Anyways it was pretty confusing when I just started playing to differentiate between the 2 countdowns (the one for drought, and the one above the pyramid for dooms day I think), but the more I play the clearer it gets. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Spot on! Handing over resources immediately isn't necessary, the game is built around that exact tension of managing your focus and time. Once you look past the chaos, you realize you don't actually need a massive surplus of resources, and you can use your time to build your setup instead of instantly catering to the pyramid's demands. You completely cracked the secret, great job! Thanks for playing!

Really fun and interesting concept and surprisingly difficult! I've done 5 runs now I think and still have yet to beat it xDD Really well done!!

As a strategy player and board game player, I really enjoy the game! It's truly fun and the loop is great.

Developer

hello! thank you for your review and rating! What did you like most about our game?

Awesome game, really enjoyed! The timer ticking down is so stressful wow, my first run I ran out of time while building the altar and was like NOOOO

Developer

hello! Thank you for your feedback, it is important to us! hahahaha we've all been through this...

I had fun playing this one, loved the art, there's some good polish and balancing. only made it about halfway til the meteor came. Good work!

Developer

Hello, thank you for your feedback, it is very important for us! This is a great result for the first race, have you tried going further?

Really interesting game! The core loop is engaging, and it gets pretty hectic trying to produce and drag all the resources to the right places with such a tight time limit. On my first playthrough, it felt like there was barely enough time at all and I only made it to round three. I gave it another go and managed to get to round five, so it was nice to at least see some progress as I figured things out!

I also have a few thoughts: having to repeatedly drag individual cards from the bottom gets a bit tedious, especially when things speed up. Repeating what someone else mentioned, being able to drag multiple at once would have also helped. Also, it would be great to know what a plot will produce before paying to unlock it. Early on, fulfilling the gods' demands kept me so busy that I didn't really have the spare materials to just unlock plots blindly, and when I needed them it was almost too late already.

Overall, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!

Regarding batch dragging: making it a default feature might break a hidden core mechanic built around "attention management." Single dragging requires player time and focus, which creates that intended pressure. If you could drag everything at once, that pressure mechanism disappears! However, I'm thinking of evolving this idea for future updates — instead of giving batch dragging right away, player could unlock/buy tools that allow for more efficient resource handling.

As for the building plots: at the start of each era, the game actually states which building is available and what buffs/debuffs are active for that era. But I totally agree that adding a UI tooltip/indicator directly on the plot would be way clearer — we just ran out of jam time to implement it!

Glad you saw your progress improve on the second try. Thanks again for playing!

Extremely creative, extremely engaging, and extremely fun. I did three runs and still want to come back to properly beat it. The fact you made this in four days is nothing short of extraordinary. 5/5 Flawless entry

Wow, what a compliment! 😭 Three runs is awesome! Thanks a ton for the incredible review and support!

Love me some meeple and resources :D

Great stuff, could genuinely be developed into a really cool board game!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, it definitely has that board game vibe. Glad you enjoyed the resource management!

Submitted(+3)

I excitedly yelled "a worker placement!" Very fun game managing my people and trying to eek extra resources.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the worker placement mechanics. Squeezing out every last resource is exactly the core of the game.

Very tense! Got to the obsidian part before I finally couldn't manage it and ran out of time. Really good concept! I'm not very fond on the art as I usually not like different sized pixels, but the art style itself was really neat. Very fun to play!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Reaching the obsidian part is a solid run. Totally understand your point about the mixed pixel sizes, it's something we'd like to fix, but we're glad you still liked the overall style and had fun with the tension.

Submitted(+2)

Great game ! A little bit hard at the beginning, but still a lot of fun !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you had fun despite the tough start.
