I liked the mechanics of knocking down walls by spending gold. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to restore health, though I was able to increase my max health.
I really liked this game, very fun. I think it maybe could have connected to the theme a bit more, since the mechanics all center around exploration and dungeon crawling rather than survival. Either way though, it was an interesting game especially with how fast the combat felt despite being turn based. Good job
Really awesome game was alot of fun to play, never really played anything like this before really cool mechanic!
I have some trouble understanding what I have to do, where I should go and there's a lot going on on the screen :o But looking at other comments I seem to be the only one,,, The game looks fun so I'd really like to understand what I am doing! If you are willing to provide some guidance that would be amazing :DDD
Yeah there is a lot going on on the screen. Basically you want to shoot the enemies with your fireball (left click to fire in straight line) before too many spawn and overrun you so you can keep surviving. Also over time you want to collect the gold on the ground and then use it to break the gold walls to unlock new areas of the map. These new areas might have new spells on the ground that you can activate with the number keys that deal more damage or have effects that you can combo with each other to deal with enemies better. Every spell takes mana but you can refill mana with the mana orbs on the ground. The enemies look like little mushroom people they were supposed to be wizards lol and they telegraph when they move or shoot based on the colored tile highlights on the ground. Also there are spikes that activate after 1 turn so you don't want to stand still on those and arrow traps in the walls. Hope this helps and thanks for playing! :D
I liked the responsiveness and how fast paced the combat felt (despite it being turn based) Was really good and really awesome! (Felt like the UI could’ve been better since it got me a while to get used to it T~T still a fun play though)
Very creative game! Really enjoy the concept and art style. I thought I was doing well until the difficulty really ramped up. Nice stuff.
233 turns survived
Fun game. I liked how the projectiles only traveled some squares each turn.
Pretty solid game, lots of replay value — but honestly, I couldn't really see how it connects to the theme.
Reminds me of a CoD Zombies game mode! The objective is clear, and the difficulty ramps up nicely. Some design choices would make it a more pleasurable experience, for example:
- Improve how the text is displayed, yellow text on yellow backgrounds and assets gets easily lost;
- Tune down the volume or give audio options, the high-pitch sounds make it less enjoyable for after so many repeats
Otherwise, I enjoyed it!
Great stuff. The gameplay loop is simple but there is a lot of moment to moment decision making in positioning and where to explore next. I like the variety of spells available.
