very well executed, hurt my brain lol

Fun idea, definitely hooks a nerd like me :)
I could win but ony with the numbers showing, I gotta get better with the memory part.

Clever use of the theme! My memory isn't amazing but I enjoyed the challenge. The mechanics were well explained but maybe the tutorial could use less text to make it slightly less overwhelming. Great work :)

Interesting concept, decent presentation and I liked both the soundtracks. Played it for longer than I thought I would!

Definitely something that could be expanded upon into a full game.

Good job!

I love you made math enjoyable for someone who generally does not like math! Well done. Also I think the fact that you need to count down from your previous answer, fits the theme very well. I second Timtanium707 in that it would've been more balanced experience if all of the tiles were visible. But thats for further iteration! As a jam game this was well executed. Good job!

Nice puzzle concept, genuinely feels original! Personally, I'm not too sure what hiding the numbers *really* adds t the game. If the numbers stayed onscreen but more numbers filled the board as the game progressed, I would think that would lead to just as much of a balancing challenge without the possibility of misremembering a random tile. Either way, good job!

The honest answer to that is: I just had the idea, rushed to turn it into a playable game, and then let others decide if it's fun or not :D

You can somewhat do what you suggested in a custom game. One of the difficulty options hides nothing, so all cards stay visible. But I think this game kinda falls apart if you try to optimize playing it, so the memory aspect adds a different challenge unrelated to the optimal way to play. Without memory, I think there's barely any inherent challenge at all, and it needs an additional twist or a different scoring system to make the math more important and varied during gameplay.

Anyway, thanks for playing!

Interesting. I would assume there would be more of a challenge by yeah maybe without that element it would feel like actually doing math instead of playing a game.

This game is so well executed. I found out that I can store at most 12 numbers. The timelapse of you making it is amazing.

Think i should go attend some math classes after playing this 😅

As a card-carrying smooth brain; I became quite nervous when I saw your comment pop up on my game. Math and memory are words that keep me up at night.

All in all it wasn't bad though, I do appreciate that you exposed a wide variety of setting options to suit those of us who are computationally challenged. And while I don't think I'll be setting the leaderboards alight (I didn't submit any :D), I did enjoy it much more than I expected.

I imagine there is a community of people into puzzle games that would absolutely cream their knickers over this game, especially the competitive element. it's really well put together.

Oh and I should also say, welcome to the Godot family! Nice to have you on board.

Thank you for the game!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! And you're always welcome on the easy leaderboards, where the rest of us smoothbrains hang out <3

As a mathematician who is bad at mental arithmetic and has a terrible memory... this was awesome.

So much  fun despite handicaps :) Good stuff!

Combining arithmetic and memory is probably the worst of two worlds, so I'm glad I got your seal of approval :D thanks for playing!

This was hard! As I kinda expected from the instructions, but to quite as scary as I thought it would be. My memory isn’t great so it was a bit of a struggle, but I did get quite far I think. Also the music was really chill and nice.

I do wish I could have played it in fullscreen and have the text be a bit larger.

Nice game though!

Thank you for your comments and the video! And don't worry, you did great :D

Agreed on fullscreen, I'll have to figure it out how to let that scale properly with Godot but it was too late to fix that when I realized it's a little wonky right now. Also, the "undo" feature that's in the tutorial used to be in the game but I discovered the reveal exploit close to the deadline so I just removed that feature altogether to be safe :D I agree with your feedback on the UI in general.

Thanks for playing!

Fun brain teaser

:) :)
