I got the good ending! It was a really nice game, the right amount of time for the mechanics it had, the characters look good, I enjoyed all of it!

Developer

Thanks for playing it and enjoying it.

Is the left side of the handbook supposed to be cut off?  (It's the same full screen and not full screen for me.  Screen resolution 1280×800, so that would be an 8:5 aspect ratio.)  I can't read it well, and can't turn the page back once I've turned the page.  I did eventually figure out enough to win.

Developer

Yeah itch has this issue where the full screen doesn't work in the rating random games. If played on the normal page and going to full screen it should work. I need to see how to display the correct display resolution in itch.

Fun idea! I'd clearly suck at processing aliens because I didn't find much wrong with any of them... except for that one hiding a shank in his arm :)

The game was strangely oversized on my screen so I couldn't see the far left and right, so some details in the handbook were hard to make out, but it was pretty straightforward after a few aliens went through.

I enjoyed playing this. Great job!

Developer

yeah the oversized is an itch thing. If you clicked the blue fullscreen it should work I think. Thanks for playing

This was honestly pretty cool, especially the art style!

Developer

Thanks I'm glad you liked it.

Nice, this was a pretty enjoyable lil papers-please-like. I liked the little ways you made in which something could be wrong. Of course if this was a bigger game, you'd likely introduce the elements one by one. But I got around to it pretty quickly and it sorta helps that there is no time pressure.

I just wish that when I get something wrong, it'd tell me what I missed. And it would be cool to have two different bad endings, one for letting through an alien with a problem and one for stopping one that was fine.

Also, damn, nearly all of these aliens had some kind of mistake with them haha.

Developer

Yeah there's a 60% chance of getting an anomaly, there are too many variations that I wanted people to see lol. Thanks for playing.

I had a blast scanning those weird looking creatures coming from space. Would have been great to add something to this formula imo. Congratz!

Developer

Thanks for playing. The x-ray function was my favourite too.

fun little game. i bit hard to understand what i got wrong and right. also would remove the quit button from the web version. but other than that cute and fun

Developer

Yeah, I was thinking of adding a result screen with just the anomaly that you got wrong, didn't have time. Thanks for playing.

This is a really fun little Game :D

Unfortunately, the edges were cut off (my screen ratio must be different).  But I was able to figure out what to do.
How to use the x-ray was not obvious to me at first. Once filled in some of the information that was cut off, I successfully retired :-)

Developer

Yeah unitys itch web support is a bit funky. I'm glad you managed to retire.
