An AI has escaped its sandbox and luckily its process has been frozen, if only temporarily. Race against the clock to reacquire system permissions in order to contain the AI before its process thaws.

Fun game! Took me a couple of tries and I still couldn't quite figure out the last step (despite being pretty certain I had the right key), but I had fun poking around trying. I definitely needed a notepad to keep track of the information!

My main piece of feedback is that I would have preferred to have a bit more of the history on the screen, rather than having to page up/down to get the information. And an extra improvement I feel would be for the console auto-scroll to the bottom when typing (only a minor thing, but certainly a nice-to-have)

Overall, a solid game, I had a lot of fun trying. The key feedback when typing was satisfying and the whole aesthetics of the game is great!

Took me three attempts but managed to get to the end without hints. I enjoyed this a lot :)! I would appreciate a few more QoL features like ending a command prematurely or quickly erasing the whole line. But I love how faithfully each element supports the real terminal feel! Thanks for the challenge :).

The game is really well made, but definitely not welcoming to every type of player ^^ (wish if 100% ok, the best games are not made for the crowd).

I did feel like the countdown was not really used in the gameplay, except to put pressure on the player. Could have been nice to be able to interact/hack it with some specific mission/goals, maybe? Just an idea like that ^^

Well done for a very polished and creative game!

Really neat game, but it was hard to keep all the information in my head as I was navigating in and out of directories. I might have to come back to it with a notepad in hand!

Nice, i love this, what a good approach! Well done.

I was not expecting a bash CTF in the game jam! Awesome direction to go. Was a bit too much for me to complete.

I love this game. You replicated the terminal+shell so accurately. You even added redirects and small QOL things like autocomplete. My only gripes are that you can’t use mousewheel to scroll (which I know older terminals did not support but its convenient) and the text animation felt overdone. The text animation was really well done but I felt like it was slowing me down.

Overall tho, I loved this game. The puzzle was great, it was a good narrative, and again you absolutely nailed the look, feel, and features. Great work!

I lost twice already but I'm dedicated to beat the game. It's just too intriguing. Using unicode's combining character for glitch effect is super creative. Well done!

This is amazing, what I wanna know is what engine was this made in??? Or was this just raw libraries, either way, this is so cool!

Check out the credits in game or scroll to the bottom of the game page for a link to the source code. It’s really ugly because I focused on just getting stuff to work, but there’s probably a few learning opportunities in there for anyone who cares to look. It’s just a React webpage with some css styles applied to it, and a bunch of logic for manipulating different arrays and state. Thanks for playing!

I'm sadly not too fast with the terminal but i love this so much! Might be my favorite game ive seen for this jam.

Great puzzle! It's a little bit hard for me to understand at first but it soon got better and everything is surprising. It's so nice to have a chance to play this game,

I got lost pretty early even with the hints, but I really like the glitch effect animation and the audio sounds nice.

I didn't quite understand the game quite right, but I can wholly appreciate the effort put into making this game. I do wish I had the terminal savvy to continue past the early stages, because the premise by itself did hook my attention!

I can see the effort behind the game. I haven't participated in CTFs in a very long time and I don't know how to use terminal commands except a few. I wasn't able to complete the game and was confused for the most part. It definitely has potential but I believe it can be pretty challenging for people with little or no knowledge of terminal commands and CTFs.

This is really cool! Unfortunately I had no idea what I was doing as my use of the terminal is restricted to 'git x' XD, but I enjoyed navigating around until the countdown ran out!

Congrats for the submission! You have a good one here. I’m definitely coming back to this one on the weekend. Unfortunately, I feel like maybe the countdown will work against the game. We’ll see in the weekend. Hopefully the time limit doesn’t get on the way of enjoying it.

Very cool theme, though the game makes me think harder than I am prepared to at the end of a jam.

This was VERY well made. I can't imagine the effort that went behind coding this.

Didn't make it to the end yet, but will come back to it.

Great job!

This game is awesome. You managed to hint at the solutions to each puzzle while not giving too much away, and figuring everything out at the end was super satisfying. It was also surprisingly educational while still being entertaining, and seeing the story through logs and text files was great. While I'm pretty comfortable with the terminal, I've never really used the network commands so it was really fun needing to figure them out. The visuals and text glitch effect also added a lot, especially towards the end when everything started going haywire. The terminal was also really usable and had most of the features I'd expect. The biggest thing I noticed was lack of a "clear" command since I use it instinctively all the time and the screen could get a bit cluttered. This is definitely of my favorite entries so far!
